DeMarcus Cousins says he wants John Wall, Eric Bledsoe to join him on Kings
Cousins, according to Ben Standig of ‘Locked on Wizards,’said that Wall and him have discussed the possibility before along with Suns guard Eric Bledsoe, who was also on their Kentucky team.

“Do we ever talk about playing with one another? … It’s come up,” Cousins said. “He wants me here. Eric [Bledsoe] wants us in Phoenix.”

Cousins went on to say several times that if he had it his way, the reunion would happen in Sacramento.

“They’re all going to come to Sacramento. Come to Sac,” he joked. “Play with John and Eric again? You never know what will happen. It’s the NBA, so hopefully one day he’ll be in a Sacramento uniform.”

So. How do you play that? Bledsoe to Sac? or Cousins to Phx (in free agency?)?
It sounds like Cousins doesn't want to leave the Kings...so Bledsoe to Sacramento would be my guess.

Looks like he wants to play with Bled and Wall. Saying he wants it to be in Sac is him trying to avoid sounding like he wants to be traded.

The way for the Suns to play this is to trade Bled to Washington. All Washington needs to do then is to sign Cousins in 2018. They should be willing to give up a lot to get Bledsoe because he gets them Cousins AND keeps Wall around.

They have some assets like Beal or Otto Porter that I would take for Bledsoe (plus whatever other salary fillers are needed).

Surprised nobody is talking about JR Smith, who participated in one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen in my years watching the NBA.

It was a night for upsets around the league: Nets over the Clips, Bucks beat Cavs, Magic over Spurs(in SA). And lesser ones: Pelicans beat Lakers, Jazz over Rocks, Pistons beat Hornets. Those six games were all there was on tap.

Good catch.

Am I the only one that think the Jazz have underachieved? They have a great frontline even with Favors out. I'm really high on Trey Lyles who they have coming off the bench.

Westbrook with 31, 14, and 11 against the Wizards. He is putting up the most amazing numbers this year.

Six triple doubles in his last eight games. I really want to see him average one. It's the most exciting story in the league this year.

If Westbrook can manage to average a triple double for the whole season then Westbrook should follow in Curry's footsteps and be a unanimously voted MVP. Right now they're 5th in the West. The Thunder have a better supporting cast around Westbrook than they did in the 2014-15 season when they barely missed the playoffs. Durant only played in 25 games all year and Westbrook only played in 67. They finished tied for the 8th seed at 45-37, the Pelicans held the tie-breaker though. During that season Westbrook had 11 triple doubles all season, plus a stretch of 6 in 8 games also. He averaged 28.1 ppg, 8.6 apg, and 7.3 rpg that year in 34.4 minutes a game. This year he's averaging 31.2 ppg, 11.3 apg, and 10.5 rpg with 9 triple doubles through 20 games, only playing 35.7 minutes a game also. I didn't realize how few minutes he was playing, not that almost 36 isn't a good amount but he's not even in the top 10 in the league. Hopefully he stays healthy enough to keep things up.

I read an interesting article comparing Westbrook's numbers to the year that Oscar Robertson averaged a triple double and the pace back then was much quicker overall, teams averaged 25 more possessions a game. If you adjust Westbrook's stats to that pace using his usage rating he'd be averaging he'd be averaging 46.6 ppg, 17.0 apg, and 15.6 rpg. Robertson averaged 30.8 ppg, 11.4 apg and 12.5 rpg that season. It took him longer than Westbrook though, even with the quicker pace, because he averaged 44.3 minutes a game. So Westbrook is averaging very similar numbers now in 8.6 less minutes and with about 25 less possessions. I think the level of competition is much more difficult across the league now. each team has to play 29 other teams anywhere from 2 to 4 times a piece. Back in 61-62 season there were only 9 teams in the league so teams played each other 10 times a piece. Having 2 less games in a season isn't that big of a deal though. Big O's season is still really impressive, regardless of pace and competition. There is a reason it hasn't been done since that season. One thing not mentioned when people bring up him averaging a triple double is that it was only his 2nd NBA season at only 23 years old. I think averaging a triple double in today's NBA would be much harder than it was back in the day but I think history will judge which is more impressive based on team success. The Royals only won 43 games in 61-62 and lost in the fist round of the playoffs. Hopefully Russ can keep it up throughout the year.
