Toronto/Indy first game takeaway:

Its not about rebounding, its not about inside game or 2 point shooting. This game was all about 3 point shooting and defense. 3 and D is the new NBA.

wake me when we get to the second round... SA v. OKC and Clippers v. Warriors should be supremely entertaining matchups. Until then, the west is serving up hot garbage.

Hope he heals nicely. Better Warriors than SA or LeFlop.

Better news than I was expecting. Last night Green said Curry was in tears. Hearing that, I figured Curry felt something pop and knew he was done.

I wish the best for Curry however I have this curiosity about how far the Warriors can go without him.

Yeah I think Curry is only being evaluated in two weeks....not sure if he comes back by two weeks.

He's out at least 2 weeks, could be longer.

To me the irony in this series is off the charts. Patrick Beverly has been trying the whole series to take Curry out, and yet both of Curry's injuries occurred without any contact just accidental slips.

And the ultimate karma was Beverly had to leave the game yesterday himself on that play where he pushed Curry who falling out of bounds threw the ball right to Harden who went in for a dunk. Beverly apparently fell awkwardly after shoving Curry and injured his own leg.

Somewhere Westbrook is laughing at Beverly's misfortune.

What's the NBA rules on flagrants and technicals, they don't reset round by round in the playoffs right? So in theory Draymond has to be REALLY careful now so as to avoid getting suspended a game before Curry gets back?

Yeah, Patrick Beverly is a dirty piece of trash. When I heard Curry hurt his ankle in game 1 I figured for sure Beverly got him. If I'm running a league and there is a dude like that, deliberately injuring people, I'd slap em with the lifetime ban.

I don't think it is all that common, I can only think of 3 guys I felt like, for sure, were out there trying to hurt people: John Starks, Bruce Bowen and Patrick Beverly.

There was that Robert Horry hip check on Steve Nash that sent him into the scorer's table.

I still think the league was totally wrong about the Dray Green flagrant against Beasley after the bell the other day.

To me it was clear that Beasley had Dray's arm locked under his and was throwing himself around like he was being mugged.

Yeah but that was an unusual foul by Horry, not typical of him at all. I think the guy was a jerk and highly overrated but it was a one of a kind move IMO. Beverly, Starks and Bowen crossed the line frequently. I'd add Dellavedova, Steven Adams and Karl Malone to the intentionally dirty list too and probably sneak in a few of the Bad Boys while we're at it.

and Matthew Dellavedova diving at player's legs last year.

Oh yeah, Delly for sure. Make it 4.

I disagree on Horry, that was stupid frustration on his part (which they then profited from). I can't stand the guy but I don't think he wast trying to hurt people.

Yeah, good call Steve, Malone too with his elbows of death. At least he wasn't subtle. Kobe had a couple years when the Lakers sucked where he was trying to knock heads too. But, as much as I don't like Malone or Kobe, I don't consider that as dirty as these guys who are trying to roll up player's knees. That is the kind of trash I'd throw a guy out of the league for.

I think he exaggerated it but I think Green was just trying to get them to call the foul in the hopes they could somehow get one more shot. So I think he did enough to probably deserve the flagrant.
