I wonder how long it takes to get a Disabled Player Exception for Arthur. Hope the league office works on the weekend.

Anyway, perhaps we will start to hear more rumors regarding players other than Crawford.

Here is an interesting name.

I doubt if Payton would improve the Suns though.

I don't think he's a distributing PG. At least he wasn't in the preseason games I saw.

I was looking at the Suns schedule.

If they do not beat Dallas at home in the opener they could easily go 0-6 until they play the Spurs at home on October 28th.

After they play Dallas, the Suns play Denver and Golden State on the road. They return home to play the Lakers before facing the Grizzlies and the Thunder on the road.

I think the Suns have enough bench point guards as it is. Payton assist stats do not look impressive.

We need some more names to talk about.

You think the Spurs will be an easier win than Memphis? Even with Conley back they aren't very good.

I was factoring Memphis being a road game. If the Suns can beat the Spurs at home with all the injuries it will be a long season.

Jaren Jackson Jr. is looking good early.

He also would be better than anyone we have at the position.
I have a hand puppet of Steve Nash that would be better than anybody we currently have.

Kokoskov found out about the Crawford visit from the media.

I like Igor's honesty and the concentration on the players he has.

What I think is funny, is that a couple days ago literally ANYONE is better than any PG on our roster. Now guys become available and it's like, that guy is too old, this guy doesn't pass well, that guys defense is horrible. NOW we are getting picky? LOL! I still want Damian Lillard or that caliber. Shoot the moon!!!

The comments back then were simply overreactions to what they saw in the games. The truth is that (while our PG situation sucks) there are still plenty of PGs in the league that really aren't much of an upgrade over the players that we have here. Personally I think Canaan can be pretty solid for us until something significantly better comes along.

In Crawford's case he is too old and is not a point guard either. He's a combo guard and if it was 5 years ago we might be ok using him as a backup but he is too old and not a good fit. I would rather have young players who are point guards than old players who are playing PG simply because they aren't getting offers elsewhere.

I suspect, if we sign Crawford, it will be to provide a weapon opposite of Booker running the point. He can (or used to be able to) handle a little bit of pg duty but he's clearly not a pg. But if he gives us a better shooting guard option than Daniels, I'm okay with it. But all the stuff I'm reading about him currently is that he is dead weight now so I don't know.

Jamal Crawford would immediately be the best pg on the roster and better than most of the pg’s we are considering trading for. He is old but he has not really slowed down. There are certainly worse moves we could make.
