This year's "best class in years" is crumbling before our eyes.

Rudolph - gets the Big 12 *
Rosen - damaged goods
Darnold - Turnover machine, flawed mechanics
Allen - sketchy performances
Mayfield - "too short" :sarcasm:

Jackson - one read and run
then there is the rest of the pack
i.e. Grier, Ferguson, Lauletta, Mike White, Barrett, McSorley
Rudolph is currently the leading passer in the country. He's played hurt 2 straight weeks with a banged up offensive line and still putting up good numbers. The guy will make some team a good starting qb....

Well okie guy, we're going to get to see Rudolph vs. Mayfield this weekend. Both will be going up against suspect defenses. Game day is going to be there, and the energy is going to be off the charts for this one. Should be great fun.

What the guys from this board don't know though is that it's "Bedlam". Throw out the point spreads and the records, because anything, and I mean absolutely anything can happen. There will probably be some fluky tipped pass returned for a pick-six late in the fourth quarter to decide the game, and one of the above QBs will go down as a goat.

It'll be a party, I'm hoping to be there if my brother scores us some tickets. At least the weather is supposed to be perfect!

Your right, usually something fluky or crazy happens. 90% of the time it goes Sooners way as they are 10-2 in the last 12. Gundy needs to finally finish a bedlam game! Bizarre was when Stoops for some reason re-punted to Tyreek Hill who went 90 yards for td with time running out. I'm usually on the wrong end of these but I stick with my team!

Even though Darnold has regressed some, I still think he’s the best QB in college football. All for not, as he appears heading back to USC for 1 more year. I like Rudolph, Jackson, and Mayfield, but they all have warts. A kid that won’t come out, but I like his overall game is the kid from Syracuse. I think his name is Eric Dungey. Very athletic , 6’4”, 225. He’s still raw, but he’s impressed me at times this year. Watch Syracuse in the next few years.

Baker Baker the touchdown Maker:lol: lol

Yeah I came up with that one a few days ago :)

He's been my dude for over a year now so that means no way he's a cardinal lol

Would it be crazy to spend a high first round pick on Baker?
I do not see the the Cardinals winning many more games this season. So if we are going to get Baker Mayfield, I think the Cardinals are going to have to use a top ten pick on him.

Personally I think he will go late first early second unless someone just falls in luv with him. I think the Pats could be all over him with the Niners pick they received for Jimmy G.

If on the board & I were Steve Keim I'd draft WR James Washington with our early #1 then trade up towards the back end with picks and/or players (Badger) & take Mayfield! I think our nucleus for a passing game will be built with that combo!!!

Interesting. I like that scenario of Washington and Mayfield in the first round.:raccoon:

If you feel a QB is your franchise guy you don't pass on him. There's no such thing as "reaching" if they feel that strongly. Yes teams like the Bears look like idiots for not only trading up one spot but for not taking Watson. They thought so highly of Trubisky it didn't matter.

Seattle passed on Wilson but they weren't blown away with him until the preseason when he took Matt Flynn's job. Same with Dak. If they knew what those two were they would've taken them in the first rd.

I hear & totally agree with what you guys are saying that's my philosophy as well. But you also have to take into consideration where most teams think that player will go. Every board is different, players are ranked different but IMO that's the range Mayfield will be looked at, possibly even a tad later. Just my thoughts though.

trying to guess where other teams will pick a guy is why they lost watson last year...if rumors are true.

if they see a dude they think is legit the future of this team then I am cool with them trading the entire draft to move up and get him....ya know...if JohnElway,...Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, Aaron Rodgers, Jim Kelly, Steve Young etc... is sitting there...do what you have to do to get the guy.

Because as long as they dont we will always be bouncing around mediocre

That's just craziness, because you know the Browns will be right near the top of the draft the next year as well.
Darnold isn't a 1st round pick from what I've seen this year. He needs to stay in school for another year.

The Cardinals on draft day have to move up as far as they can with all the draft pick trade power they can muster, and pick their guy. They have decided their fate by not acting the previous years... you get your guy without trying to think what others might do, you go get him!
