Hold onto the ball, Murray!
I didn't realize half of the Swiss defense--including their captain--is out due to yellow card accumulation. I'm feeling better about calling a Swedish victory here. Swiss cheese, anyone?
Rodriguez out. I still picked Colombia before the game.
Wide, wide open match. England with the advantage, but unable to take advantage of it. The ref has totally lost the game. Henderson a dirty git for instigating, and the Colombian an idiot for responding. Lucky it was to the chest first, or that would have been a red. England players AND Colombian players whining about inches/spray. Maguire looking an ass continually calling for replay. That one Colombian player looking an ass flopping away from Sterling. Geiger has lost the plot here.
Yeah such a poor sequence there. England were the better side but they better score.Rodriguez out. I still picked Colombia before the game.

Disgraceful display by Colombia. What a shame that they felt that's how they had to play the game.
You're not the only one.Disgraceful display by BOTH teams.
England deserved to win it in regular time, but they didn't put the game away. Then, in extra time, Colombia had England reeling, and could have snatched a goal. Good on the Three Lions for breaking that PK hoodoo. I'll put my hand up and say I grossly underestimated them heading into this tourney.

BS they were lucky not to see red. A lot of refs with shorter tempers would have sent players off in that match. As far as the penalty. When you ride someone like a bull it’s going to be called.
Colombia really fouled it up after the penalty. I thought they could have lost a man with how poor they were. England also lost their cool. Henderson had some forgettable moments. Again I give the ref credit for not losing his mind and sending players off.
England showed their youth last night. They should have done better especially with James out. But they let Colombia hang around and allowed for Colombia to get in their heads. Either way they deserve credit for their penalties. They will need to be better against sweeden or they will be out.
If you think England were anything like as bad as Colombia in that game in terms of dirty football, I'm not sure what you were watching.
England shouldn't have gone defensive near the end. I don't get why teams do it as it always invites pressure and rarely works.
You make some good points. Both sides are complaining about the referee yet if he wanted to he could have sent off players from both sides. BBC were blasting neymar for hisExactly. Henderson was an utter jackass that game, and 100 percent started it all.
See above about Henderson. Colombia let the opposition get into their heads, but let's not pretend Henderson wasn't winding that player up before the chest/chin head butt, and that he didn't later do almost exactly the same head butt for a yellow. Colombia then went on to go way beyond crazy in their antics, no doubt, but England weren't saints either. I so wanted to punch Maguire time and again for whining and making the VAR signal. Oh, and raking your studs over an opponent's head (cough cough STONES cough cough) is generally considered a sending-off offense.
Were England as bad as Colombia? No. I didn't say so. But they were really poor sports too.

Antics against Mexico but they didn’t acknowledge Henderson’s flopping after the Colombian gave him a lion hug. Also I don’t know what stones was doing there. He almost made contact with that guys head.
