If they're relying on another game like this by mann, they have problems.

Pg13 and Reggie Jackson are reliable. Everyone else is a question mark from game to game

Morris has been pretty good the entire playoffs.

I think it all revolves around how much time CP3 misses.

Legler is right, ayton taking advantage of the smalls on offense is going to be critical.

wish I had confidence in him being able to do that.
It's going to completely come down to him this series IMO...if he shows up in a big way, we are good. If he's even mediocre or take a couple games off like the Denver series, then we're in big trouble. He's the x factor.

Yeah but there was games he wasnt 100% and we still throttled them.
I understand the doubt but do you honestly believe a PG13 lead team is gonna win 4 games against us? I seriously doubt it. Half this forum is gonna think the sky is falling till you see Book and CP3 holding that trophy. And I get it
Go Suns!

the two games Paul really didn’t look good against the Lakers we lost. One them of going away. It was once he came back in Game 4 with 18 points that we took the series. And then he was either okay or great after that.

just can’t overtstate CP3’s impact.

Kind of. Weren’t they the best 3 point shooting team in the nba, or close to it?

Yes and we need to stay home on that.

My point was on "carrying the load" to me means guys scoring 20+ a game. Pg13 and Reggie Jackson can do that with regularity. I'm not sure about anyone else with Kawhi hurt

I generally think George is a douche. But he plays well against us and his team is on fire and we’ve had a big layoff and we are the team having to adapt without Paul - they’ve already adjusted to losing kawhi.

Agree. Embiid would drop 40-50 per game on that lineup. I’ll be happy if Ayton can average 20.

I think AD being injured helped out with that..

We’ve only got two guys that can do that too, and one is out for who knows with Covid.

His real value is going to be his activity on the boards on both ends. He needs to hit em hard. Man, hes my most frustrating player too... Shut me up on game days DA!.... Lol

Fair point

thats my worry. If they can double Book effectively or just make him work REALLY hard with their wings, that’s gonna make offense really tough for us.

our D is going to have to come really strong here.

It’s going to take a total team effort not just Ayton this series wont come down to 1 player we need our wings to hit those 3s and we’re gonna need some big defense

the Bridges/PG match up is going to be huge. He doesn’t have to stop PG just keep him out of the lane and try and make him a jump shooter.

I don’t expect big numbers on the boards from Ayton there going to go small and make him defend on the perimeter he’s not going to be in the paint on defense, but Ayton is head and shoulders better than Gobert when it comes to defending on the perimeter and on offense.

We are going to need the Lakers Cam Payne with Paul out. He needs to show up big time. Booker, Ayton, Crowder, Bridges everyone needs to play well at this point but I think Payne is the most important he doesn’t need to dominate but he needs to hold it down till CP3 can comeback

Could this be a case where Ayton pops for 30+?

I think if the rest of the team can consistently get the ball to Ayton in places where he can score at a high %, he’ll execute more often than not. He’s been growing, slowly, his ability to create his own shot throughout these playoffs, but if we’re gonna need him to reach 30+, the rest of the team are gonna need to own that as much, if not more than Ayton.

without CP3, he kinda does have these guards. Book and Mitchell are very similar and Cam Payne as starter is a big question mark, IMO.

Payne is a much better playmaker than Clarkson. Booker is better than a clearly limited Mitchell.
