According to some, the loss of Porzingis has nothing to do with them losing and looking like crap on offense.
I think the argument is that it isn’t a big loss offensively. Porzingis is a very inefficient scorer. He would help a little because he would give them another scorer, but he wouldn’t help all that much because he isn’t efficient.

The argument is that they were one of the best offenses in the NBA last year WITHOUT Porzingis, so the Suns D in game #1 doesn’t deserve some sort of asterisk.

Reading Mavs’ boards they claim they beat us easily if they shoot better, which, while true, is pretty funny.

The Nuggets and Mavericks starting out 0-2 each is a bit of a surprise more so for the Nuggets who lost to the Kings at home. Denver may be missing Mason Plumlee and Jerami Grant.

The Mavs are having to play Dwight Powell and Willie Cauley-Stein over 30mpg combined right now. I would take our wings and bigs over theirs pretty comfortably.

And also according to some, the loss of Porzingis is some sort of proof that Dallas would have beat us had he played. Maybe there is a happy medium. Suns (and Lakers of course) are still better teams than Dallas regardless of who plays. They are the ultimate proof that one guy can't win basketball games by himself.

Except... I never said they would have beat us with Porzingis. I said holding the “number one offense in check!” Might be misleading because they didn’t have their second best player who was a major contributor towards them being the number one offense last season.

Dallas ORTG was higher without Porzingis last year. He helps their defense a ton, but Luka is just that good on offense.

If he gets into shape Houston will have quite the bidding war.

There was never a question for me concerning Harden, the player. He can put the right team over the top.

Now that teams are seeing their weaknesses, the market should pick up.

Marquese Chriss will miss remainder of the season with a broken bone.
