I do wish the Cardinals had a more robust media presence with the day to day camp stuff but you gotta win to get those privileges I guess

Well...yeah. I guess it is good that we are playing him in a spot where he can be somewhat successful. I don't know how many snaps he is going to get with Kirk, Fitz and potentially Dan Arnold already filling slot roles. Doomed to be a bust from day one in some ways. It would almost have been better to draft Hakeem Butler at the end of round 2 as you could have at least argued that we just took the wrong outside WR. That is me stretching but...ugh. I don't know how many picks I have disliked more than this one.

My hope is that he gets 30-40 touches, but has over a dozen real explosive touches.

That alone could be worth it.

I have said it before, I don't believe Isabella will be a complete bust but I also don't believe he will ever live up to his draft position. Too limited of a player.

Or what could happen, and is complete Cardinals luck is that Fitzgerald continues his decline in the slot and Isabella ends up leaving and being a good player elsewhere.

I just don’t see KK giving the nod to Sreveler over Hundley. Hundley has proven himself as a solid #2 in this system (albeit not a whole lot of PT). Streveler could probably ride the PS where Hundley could potentially be signed to a roster.

Hundley went 5/11 in passing last season and most of his plays were designed runs. His career numbers are pretty bad, too. When he's in, it cuts the playbook in half because he can't throw a football. He's in no way solid. He's below average at best.

While I expect Hundley to win the QB2 job, I'm glad his job isnt 100% safe.

Any word on Hakeem Butler?

I read a David Raih interview today about the 3 second year receivers.

There were two good sized paragraphs on Isabella and Johnson praising their improvements and 3 lines on Butler saying how he has to improve.

Pretty sure he's not making it.

Part of the reason the cards were able to trade for Hopkins is O'Brien was fed up with his practice habits.

We should all realize he gets special treatment when it comes to being able to sit out practices. I for one am not worried about it.

It depends on how much of the system Hundley can handle vs Steveler. If Streveler allows us to use the entire playbook and costs less and is under contract for longer...why wouldn't you take a long look at him?

Because he's a 2nd string CFL QB who you don't want to ever be starting for you?

Hundley is vet min. Can't cost less.

But if that 2nd string dude costs 300k less and keeps the playbook closer to what it is with Murray...? Hundley can't run our entire offense. He is not athletically built to do it. Streveler might be able to.

But Hundley wasn't the guy that played the Seattle game in the fourth quarter sealing the victory with couple of big plays?
