That's a trade I would accept. The number 10 pick for 14 and 26.
Meh, when’s the last time we did something good with a late first/early second? This feels to me like just moving down and getting nothing out of it.

This draft is much deeper than the 2019 draft.

For example, with those picks the Suns could come out of the draft with players like Precious Achiuwa or Jalen Smith at #14.

And at #26, Desmond Bane or Zeke Nnaji. Lots of other good combinations as well.

If it plays out this way and the Suns have a trade down option with Boston at #14 and #26, I think I do it.
I would much prefer just drafting one of the top 10 players. Now if Jones goes off book and doesnt plan to take one of those top 10 players then I would definitely prefer a trade down. After the top 10 I think the next 10-15 players are somewhat interchangeable, but I still think there is a decent gap between the top 10 and the next batch.

If Vassell scored more than 6 against UNC, 3 against Pitt and only 5 points in his last game against Boston College I'd feel better about it.

Maybe that's the wrong way to look at it. Everyone has off games.

I know. I just have frames of Jerome stuck in mud dancing in my head.

I think, to a certain extent, you also have to factor in the Florida State offense, which isn’t really conducive to showcasing individual talents.

You can go threw the stats of almost any college player and find off games. Conversely, maybe we should be looking for consistency. Kira Lewis was very consistent.

I am on board with moving down for two first rounders and getting some combination of Achiuwa/Smith + Lewis/Terry.

Of course, that means what will actually happen is Jones will move down and take Bane + some guy who's not even on anyone's draft board.

Now I have done it. I want Kira Lewis.
Ha... he is definitely part of the second wave of players that I would be okay with. I love speed at the pg position. I’m just glad the draft is finally only a few days away. I have way over analyzed each and every prospect. I think at some point I have loved and hated pretty much everyone, only to end up pretty much where I was 6 months ago.

After awhile everyone starts to overthink the draft. I know I have.

I don't think the Suns could go wrong with Kira Lewis.

We really need to come out of the draft with at least one of the following:

Toppin
Haliburton
Smith
Achiuwa
Nesmith
Lewis
Vassell
Bey

I would be fine grabbing someone like Riller if we are able to snag a 2nd round pick.

A flier in the second round, sure. He can replace Okobo. Otherwise, no thanks (though I would take Riller over Bane).

14 - Bane (I’ve kinda just accepted it)

30 - Azubuike or Oturu (are they NBA ready enough for 15-20 min?)

I won't ever accept it. If Jones takes Bane in the first round, he should be fired immediately.

As slow and long as that motion is, every single one of those gets blocked in an NBA game. At least Cam has some size to make up for it. Bane does not.

Those are practice shots. Watch booker, he shoots slow and barely jumps in practice - and can make 43 in a row.

My point is practice 3's don't mean very much other than you have good shot fundamentals.

If they really did, Booker would shoot like 80% from 3.

Which means that video is 100% pointless.

Eh. Maybe - only because I think Jones is going to do something stupid with the 10th pick.

Who is Boston after? I know they are trying to move up.
