It reminds me I used to like those old Ford Broncos.
The new ones look sharp. I see they have electric versions in the UK. I have seen a few, and with the right lift and tires, they look really good!

I liked the old Broncos that were actually a truck and had lots of room. The same with the old Chevy Trail Blazer.

The Mavericks are kinda like that, if they were lifted like the old ones, they would be similar.

I haven't shopped for a new vehicle in ages. The last I remember, the Ford Maverick was a car.

The Blazers were nicer, IMO. The Bronco was always too boxy. Still have my Blazer, granted it is an 05, but I really want a late 70's or early 80's model. Bought mine though because something about Chevy's where I know if I need to, I can fix it myself. Nowadays cars aren't made with the home mechanic in mind at all. Everything looks like a Transformer.

We have an original 1965 Bronco. It is almost done being fully restored. Belonged to my Grandfather.

Were those the smaller Broncos before they got big? They were really cool and kind of started the trend.

I was always wanting a larger Bronco to pull boats and such.

Yes it is. My grandfather delivered mail with in in deeply rural Kansas. Has 410k miles. A lot of that driving was on dirt country roads. Just a workhorse of a car. And if anything broke it was so easy to work on.

I have an 05 as well. The newer ones look nice but aren’t anything other than a freeway cruiser. Whereas the new broncos seem to be capable off road and carry the older Bronco look well. I’d say as our only domestic vehicle the Trailblazer is a pos to work on. While the other 3 imports we have are a lot easier to deal with.
The only older Chevy truck I would want is an s-10 with the snoopy nose or a Chevy luv.

I have the S-10 Blazer. So I got the best of both worlds, kind of. Only wish it had a manual transmission.

05 s-10? That doesn’t sound right. Our 05 is the bigger version.

Mine is white, 2 door. Real small for an SuV. Its a Blazer, not a Trailblazer.

Mine has a different bumper as it appears this had a body kit of some sort. Mine is also white.

The first gens were way cool and restored and restomods now pull six figures at auctions. The new Bronco is a throwback to it, and boy are the new ones off road capable, especially with the Sasquatch package.

I've seen them on the road. They look way cool.

However, I like the Broncos that were on a truck frame for my purposes.

This stings a little bit. Jaren Jackson Jr wins Defensive Player of the Year. He's the second youngest DPOY in history beating out Brook Lopez and Evan Mobley for the honors.

FTR, Dwight Howard was the youngest DPOY ever as he was a few months younger than JJJ when he won. Both were 23 years old though. Kawhi Leonard and Alvan Robertson were also 23 when they won their DPOY awards but JJJ is younger than them by a few months.

Credit to JJJ for dominayton on defensive end.

Lakers probably feel comfortable about playing Memphis. Same with Warriors driving up I-80. @Russ Smith

Just got back from Philippines and finally was able to get in I was locked out because I tried to get in over there I guess.

I think the Kings will win the series, I wasn't expecting to be down 2-0 but I just don't think the Warriors defense is good enough and the issue they have is they need Draymond or Looney on the floor to defend Sabonis but it gives him an easy cover on the other end because neither guy is a scorer. I missed the entire first game on a boat and saw the last 6 minutes tonight so maybe they tried this but I'd be tempted to play the Kings without either Dray or Loon on the floor and see what happens?

FOX is the best player on the floor so far but I'm wondering if for a few minutes you go with Wiggins, Klay, Steph, Payton and either DiVincenzo or Poole if that works or if it's just too small and Sabonis dominates inside? Even Kuminga although tonight it looks like he and Donte had very bad - numbers in small minutes.

The Kings/GS game #2 was tight until 7 minutes left in game when the Intimidator Green stomped on Sabonis'
gut, which got Green sent to the locker. It seems to me that Green's antics usually end up hurting the Warriors,
and inspire the opposing fan base to generate a energy spark for their team.

Sabonis spent many minutes in pain and/or on the floor flat. He's tough but I wonder if he will survive this
series if he continues to get hammered and clobbered.

Green needs to be gone for the rest of the playoffs

Wasn't sure where I should put this or if it deserved it's own thread. Since the Suns don't have a 1st round pick though I'm sure a lot of people won't care but a fairly significant change has been made going forward where players must participate in the NBA Combine in order to be eligible for the draft. If they can't be present for some reason, whether they're playing overseas or are injured, then they need to make it up at a later date. They must be examined and cleared by league doctors and medical info will be shared with teams afterwards if the player is projected to be drafted in the range of that teams pick(s). More details in the article. Hopefully this leads to a better system going forward.
