So looking at he moves we made, I think last season we were last or pretty close to last in getting threes up as a team. Over/under we move into the top ten on three shot attempts this season? Probably get to the upper half in the league I am thinking.
Not so sure about this. Remember we had 3 of the top 4 midrange shooters all near 50% - which is equivalent to about 34% from 3. Booker only shoots 35%

The advantage of taking so many midranges is the scoring is more consistent, harder to get down by big margins that way. Also you are more likely to get fouled on a mid range shot then a 3, so that adds a few points as well.

Yes if we shoot the 3 well we will be more formidable, but it is also likely to cost us some games when we shoot them badly. I am in favor of increasing our attempts, but only if they are open looks, which we should generate more of with Beal.

Beal goes to the hole as well. He actually takes a lot of middies. Kind of like getting a younger CP3, but obviously not a PG.

All my hoop friends I talk with, they either LOVE this guy, or say he's not an NBA player. There's been no, I think he's OK. He is polarizing in that you either love him, or think he's trash. LOL! I haven't watched him play, but loved his father's game. My son says he has good handles for a guy his size.
Honestly I haven't watched him much either, but what I have heard is he is capable of great highlights and many boneheaded plays. It depends on what you focus on as to how you feel about his game. He's not fundamentally strong.

He does have upside, but we are like 4 years into his career now, most of the time if you are going to become a good NBA player it would have happened by now.

What's odd is supposedly he played point guard before his growth spurt. Either he was a really bad PG, or he's totally lost those skills. If you have had handles, you don't lose them.
To be fair there’s handles at the 10th grade level and then the nba level.

He is polarizing, for sure. I'm not surprised your son likes him because he's a favorite of younger people as he's always super cheesy in basketball video games. That doesn't reflect reality but it has skewed some people's views. I know yesterday there was a huge group of people who play NBA 2k who were bummed he was waived and all talking about him as if he were prime Manute, and by that I mean the 1 game where Manute sunk like 7 3's. Of course in the 2k world Tacko Fall is one of the best players in the game but he's a washout in the NBA.

Bol has more skill than Tacko and some potential but Denver had to cut him loose to win a championship. We don't need to sign him for that reason alone. If he could make Jokic work, they'd have kept him as a practice body. He was basically given away and now cut by a young team looking for long shots despite being on a multi-year deal.

If you think Booker/Bridges is the draw Booker/KD is, I don’t know what to tell you.

You have made this claim over and over and over again but the Nets could have sat on him and then there would have been a feeding frenzy this off-season where the Miami, Memphis, Philly and Boston’s of the world would have been lining up to trade for him with good assets to do so.

A title or bust makes this an all time stinker… for a team that had just gotten HELLACIOUSLY embarassed in the playoffs and was a 4 seed, staring at being a 4 seed from here to kingdom come if they didn’t make a major change.

Sorry… if this team gets to multiple WCF and a Finals it’s a winner. Why? Because it continues to mold the organization into a legit title contender, not some 2 year flash in the pan who went south from contention to also ran the moment CP3 crapped out. Which is what we had become regarded as not just by a lot of us on this board, but more importantly, in the media. Perception is reality and… well, reality was reality. You can go ahead and drop that 13-5 record with Cam Johnson healthy rap you love to do, but the reality was that was also with half of Chris Paul, who by season’s end couldn’t even be depended on for that.
Absolutely correct imo

Saying Bol has more skill than Tacko is kinda like saying a Ferrari has more power than a moped.

I get it. He is not KD. But the kid has lots of skills. That is his strength.

There isn’t anything he does well. Maybe weak side rim protection?

I’d roll the dice on him over Todd but Bol’s a really bad player to this point in his career.

I just heard we traded Todd to Memphis. Could be clearing the path for Bol
Yeah, we traded two first round picks swaps and Todd for three second round picks. Saved a little money, made a couple of weak picks look a little weaker so not a big deal unless Todd becomes a player.

Don't test us. We can out swap anybody.

I wanna know how far down the swap chain the Suns can go. I wanna see a year where like they wind up with the lesser of their own pick, or like the Wizards, Grizzlies, Knicks, Jazz, Sonics and Orioles. Just lean into the bit and keep throwing the same swap into everything.

Per last report, Ish Wainright's contract is not guaranteed. The Suns regular roster currently stands at 15 players including him.

The Suns now have some jingle in their pocket. At this rate, the Suns might be able to create their own new currency.

Maybe we can call it "bitsun." We could deal in future swaps.

Now the Suns need to announce they are hiring scouts, lots of scouts, that will scour the world for talent.

I don’t like this. We are so screwed if we fall off.

I think ishiba is way to confident we can stay good. Sometimes things out of your control can screw you.

I just don't want to worry about him, he looks fragile and his pops died in his 40s. Grab up Jemison he looks like a dumptruck and Ive never heard of his dad.
I don’t get why we would want him anyway, even if he started improving we couldn‘t keep him next year.

We traded a guy who would probably never see minutes in a game for 3 second round picks.

If we fall off we fall off but we have more picks than before by trading a piece that was never part of the plan. I would say thats a win unless I am missing something or not seeing what you see. I get the pick swap might be tough but the 2024 one I am willing to gamble on us doing better than them.

The guy is worthless.

the pick swaps could be extreemly valuable if we suck, worth way more the 3 2nds which usually amount to nothing.

just saying I think we are too ‘All IN’

I am fairly confident Goodwin is going to give us some usable minutes this season based on Beal's comments and the highlights I saw. So we pick up an all star, and a usable bench piece for two guys we wanted to get rid of and three second rounders.

We've made some risky moves this offseason but given our goals, where we were and what we had to work with, they were well worth taking. Sure, this could all backfire spectacularly but IMO it increases our chances of winning it all even more than it increases our chances of being totally screwed.

If we suck, those swaps will be the least of our worries! plus that's assuming the Griz don't suck those years, too.

The pick swap is 2024 and 2030. I think the only one we have to worry about is the 2030. The 2024 I am sure we could stay ahead of Memphis. With Ja suspended for half the season I just don’t see them doing better than us.
