I am Dawg now, I'm taking my full UT experience and putting on the hippie flip flops and I will top all of my fellow brothers as the first to say...Thomas IS OUR QB OF THE FUTURE
I make the bodies, I don't erase the bodies. I haven't fip flopped on the thomas wheel of emotion. It was a reach, and the reach seemed even more suspect when it came from Arians school. Keim prides himself on BPA and Logan Thomas was not, and is not BPA when it came to QBs left on the board at that time. Arians said he had to play coy the night before, and than he said they had to take him because others teams were going to with in the next couple picks...uh yeah right.I am Dawg now, I'm taking my full UT experience and putting on the hippie flip flops and I will top all of my fellow brothers as the first to say...Thomas IS OUR QB OF THE FUTURE
Thomas will be fine. You guys... chill baby
I'm trying to figure out the who or what on the right side of the picture , it appears to be some sort of Hybrid , part tackling dummy , part Cardinal football player . It has a head , but no arms or legs .
Yes those odds are heavily against him IMO.
I liked someone's analogy earlier about this being like the lottery. Problem is, I've never seen them selling .25cent tickets.
At some point the Cards are going to have to bite the bullet & swing for the fences because trying to win the lottery with third, fourth & fifth round picks continually on QBs are more than likely gonna get this staff fired too. The best odds at getting a franchise QB are in Rd1 & 2 and having one is what leads to SB's and championships...NFL history says so.

I'm sitting here watching a replay of the VT / GT game this past Fall. If Thomas plays anything remotely like he did in the first quarter and a half, then I'm really excited about this kids potential. He's 9/10 for about 120 yds & has a rushing TD. George Whitfield was on the sideline & the announcers interviewed him in regards to Thomas. Here's what Whitfield had to say:
1. Didn't play the QB position until college.
2. After his first year @ QB, he was being projected as a top 5 pick in the NFL.
3. VT's OL, WR, and RB play has been awful since that first year & Thomas has really tried to do too much. Not only do his receivers drop the ball, but they can't create separation whatsoever. In the process, he developed some bad habits.
4. WHITFIELD SAID THAT THOMAS CAN MAKE THROWS THAT 95% OF QB's IN THE NFL CAN'T MAKE.
5. Whitfield said that he's still developing & learning every aspect of being a QB.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with what I've seen.
Now if we can just get Georgia Tech on our schedule.
He certainly had good games but it's hard to blame the OL, RB's and WR's when you go 5-26 59 yards against Alabama, a QBR of 1.9. Obviously Alabama was MUCH better but that's part of my issue with Thomas, against teams with NFL talent he has looked horrible.
Even against mediocre teams, 2 picks against Marshall, 4 picks against Duke.
He looked bad against UCLA in the bowl game before he got hurt, did have a couple of nice runs in that game.
The problem for me is I've never seen him play well, every game I saw him play, he was bad.
the thread about logan thomas is one of the most viewed on this forum.
he is already succesfull
We're crazy about QBs.
No, we need to get Miami (FL) on our schedule. 68-94 899 yards 5 TDs and 2 INTs. Too bad he couldn't play like that against other teams.
Any thread about a QB will be the most viewed on this forum for the time the player is relevant. That's just the way it is with American Football.
Remember the numerous 100 post threads about Leinart, Skelton, Kolb et al.

And yet Wiz STILL somehow won 11 of 13 games at one point with those pathetic scrubs behind center...and yet, a lot of people here still think he's a bad coach.
That's the real deal. If Palmer plays well this year, he's got the Cards completely over the barrel in 2015 when his contract voids. 3 years, $40m over the barrel.
The funny thing is that the college football game is all about development; he NFL game is about precision. We took developmental players with our 2nd and 4th round picks and are quickly going to run out of time to develop them.

I think Whisenhunt is a good coach with a bad supporting cast.
The Whisenhunt/Rod Graves marriage was bad. Neither are personnel guys, and it's now pretty certain that they made most of the picks on who the team was taking.
His trust in Russ Grimm is baffling. Based on everything we've seen since and at the time, Russ Grimm is an awful developer of talent. Supposedly he's a good X's and O's guy, but this team needed someone to mold talent, and Grimm is not that guy.
I think if Whisenhunt has a strong GM that lays down the rules, Whisenhunt will be a very good head coach.
Can you give us an update on what he said?Logan Thomas on 910 Now
