99% of the subject threads here cover how I feel as a diehard Cardinals fan. But to help us all get through this tough time jump on board with this thread!

SF 49ers next 4 games: at Washington, vs NYG, vs Cardinals, at Ravens.

Cardinals next 4 games: vs Rams, at Eagles, at 49ers, at Rams.

I could see the 49ers going 1-3 or even 0-4 during that stretch and opTIMistically see the Cardinals going 3-1 in that stretch - beating Rams twice and 49ers. But even the Philly game- Kolbs return - is winnable if Cardinals play like they did yesterday vs NFL #1 defense.

If the above scenerio played out the Cardinals could enter December "2" games back of the 49ers with 5 games still to go (and still 1 gm vs 49ers in AZ).

Outside of our division the last NFC wildcard spot currently sits at just 4-3. The Cardinals are still very much alive!

But it all has to start this week at home with Rams. The 12th man needs to be in full effect! Lets end the losing streak and still make this interesting.

Go Cardinals!

We will beat the rams at home. If we don't. Holy cow.

I'm not assuming or taking anything for granted at this point, especially after how the Rams looked against the Saints yesterday. I am hoping this is the game we finally start to show improvement over the course of a full 60 minutes though.

The optimism is great AZ. Not many people can muster any sort of good feelings right now.

I don't think your scenario will play out but I do have optimism when it comes to next year.

The Cards should get a high draft pick and should use it on one of the left tackles hopefully available (Kalil or Martin). The Cards also need a legit #2 WR and should be able to acquire one in free-agency. That's all the players they really need on O.

They also need Kolb to settle down. I believe that doing this is well within reason. The new LT would make a huge difference. Also, he would have had a full year and a full off-season to understand the playbook and get on the same page with his receivers. Remember that Warner was not an immediate hit in Arizona either.

You also can't count out the impact Ryan Williams will have.

On defense, the real problem is the new scheme. It's very complicated and right now none of the players are truly grasping it. Next year they should be much improved. Player wise they really just need an OLB. The young guys they have now should be a lot better by next year and adding one more guy should do the trick. I think John Abraham(Atl) and Anthony Spencer(Dal) might be available in free-agency.

With their lower picks the Cards should be targeting a SS to replace the once great Wilson and another offensive tackle.

I've always said that the rebuild following Warner's exit, would come to fruition in year three. Next season is that due date. So borrowing some of your optimism AZ, I will say:  Here's to the Cards future and many happy Novembers to remember.

Not counting any picks for the offense, (which Whiz always favors), we still need a stud rush LB, which will probably have to be taken in the draft with a very high pick because these guys are just not available in free agency. So far as SS is concerned, I believe that we already have that player on board in the form of Patrick Peterson. As much promise as he has shown at CB, he would be even more effective with his size, strength, and speed if he was facing the QB long enough to see the play develop. He should make us all forget about Adrian Wilson, (who really was good only so long as he was allowed to head hunt in the secondary). Once the league took that away, he became a so-so player who can't cover, especially in zone.

Toler will be back, but we still would need another solid corner, (and one should be available in free agency). I would also like to see a real thumper in the middle to replace Paris Lenon.

Whiz has wasted several very high picks by passing on a rush LB, and we can't miss again on that one. We are already missing a #2 draft pick because of the Kolb trade, so things are going to be really slim picking so far as the draft is concerned.

Best thing we can hope for is to bust up this coaching staff and FO and hire a real GM, because it is very hard to build a team without picks, especially when we might need 3 #1's next year-----(QB, LT, Rush OLB).

The Cardinals are waiting until they are 10.5 games back before pulling off the miracle comeback.

If this was baseball we would end this year 37 games outta 1st when all is said & done ;)

Hey at least I can say I actually was at the game to see the Cards in a SB & my Rangers in a WS game...too bad I saw them lose both  Duck maybe I'm the jinx

Its alright with me if they want to start winning. The thing is we already had the game where we were supposed to be able to take out all our aggression on a hard luck team in Minnesota. Seattle and apparently the Redskins also are bad teams. I'm not counting on getting any easy wins.

It's not you. There's at least 3 guys who post here who are fans of the Cubs and football Cardinals. They're the ones to blame.

Im excited that Skelton aka Baby Ben might be getting the start. That alone will be exciting to see. Then it lets Kolb rest up and take on his former team (Eagles) at 100%. A win-win for our Cardinals!

How great would it be if the 49ers lose on the road to the Redskins- and the Cardinals take the field at UoP Stadium with a chance gain some ground in the NFC West!

And still "2" games remaining vs. 49ers!

Go Cardinals!

That had to be disappointing for the loyal Cardinal fans in St Louis. The Cards leave town then a new team shows up and lo an behold wins the Super Bowl. That's something hard for me to grasp. A new team comes in to replace your team. And you're supposed to just up and switch your loyalty on a dime? How did the Rams even get people to show up to games? Were people just so tired of losing that they happily jumped ship?

I've basically written off this year. But I am still optimistic about that team.

After a real offseason with Horton, I think the D will be the best we've had in a LONG time.
I think we finish low enough for Kalil, who will instantly improve that line.
Hopefully, for the love of God, Kolb finally fits in and becomes who he is supposed to be.
And hopefully we get ourselves a real OC, some of the plays I've seen called in were terrible. But given Whiz's past, I'm not holding my breath on that one

the list is in order of probability. I'm very confident in the D's improvements, confident about Kalil, fairly in Kolb, think I'm gonna be mad about the OC

it had been like 10 years. But Kurt is probably responsible for a LOT of the conversions

Based on what? IMO the talent isn't as good as our 2 playoff years. Playmakers or differance makers are there any? Maybe DWash...but as of today...nobody else!!! Players & talent make a system work IMO

This isn't hard to grasp for me at all. My loyalties are to the place I was born and grew up in. If the cardinals ever left phoenix you can be damn sure I wouldn't just choose to not root for them but I'd root as hard as I could that they would be terrible. City always comes before team which is why it was probably easy for former cardinals fans to root for the rams. If a team shows no loyalty to you and leaves you'd why the heck should you stay loyal to the team?

Acho and Schofield showed a lot in their split time in Bmore. They are our future at OLB. I think Peterson will be better than DRC by the start of next year. The kid has amazing mechanics and is always willing to learn. Washington is sick. Kerry Rhodes is a great FS. I am worried about A Dub fitting into this new system though. But all in all, I think there is a lot of talent on this D. We got to Flacco a LOT with the youngsters. Imagine when they've got a little time under their belt and they're not trading off with eachother, just coming out to rest a play here and there instead. I think the D has a lot more talent than they're given credit for

While I'm all for playing the younger guys and I like that we were able to put more pressure on the QB it left us incredibly soft against the run. We do have some talent but so does every team in the NFL. I think we have more holes than can be fixed in one off season and that's even IF Kolb progresses well and someone finally steps up and claims the number two WR spot. And it's looking more and more like neither of those two things are likely to occur.

Wow what a great game today. The Cardinals find a way win and what an electrifying play by Patrick Peterson!

The 49ers still have to play the NYG, Pitt, Baltimore and the Cardinals twice.

Anything is still possible.

Go Cardinals!

It could happen. All we have to do is win the rest of our games and hope they don't win 4 of theirs.

Good grief we could finish 8-0 and still couldn't catch them if they finish 4-4.

As bad as I hate to say it, all this talk will end next week after a blowout loss in Philly next week. Good to see a W 2day but next week will be as ugly as 2day was sweet & the fire everybody chants will be out in full force once again.

That statement right there tells me why it won't happen & besides we're a bad football team at that. Hey at least the Horns finally got smart & started playing an ex North Mesquite product like me toting the rock for big yards at RB in Joe Bergeron ;) I said last year he was better than the highly touted RB Malcolm Brown...way to go Mack!!!
