I knew at some point this season I'd really miss DesertDawg.

This thread is it.

Agreed! He would have loved that guy.

Although I was enjoying watching Cheese and a couple others bat him around with their paws like a lion and a mouse. :)

This post is full of win.

Thanks I thought it was funny. :) I dont think he enjoyed the caricature of himself very much.

I am going to tell rams fans the same thing I told homer 49er fans that were talking crap before the game - Good teams are supposed to destroy bad teams, you are about to see it first hand.

This guy is not a homer. It's just that the Rams have:

The best kicker ever. Seriously guys h'es seen it, he can kick it 200 yards barefoot while riding a pogo stick.
The best defense ever. Seriously guys they team lift busses in practice, I kid you not!
The best QB ever. Kurt Warner was cut, Cousins was cut, a + b = SUPERBOWL. Seriously. Ever heard of the freaking Hall of Fame? HELLO????
The best running game ever. Seriously. James Earl Jones' voice is scared of the rams ferocious running attack.

But he's not a homer, and he's only here for friendly discussion and to tell us that we're all overconfident and that the Rams are going to win by 10 points even tho they couldn't score on Seattle or Pittsburg cuz cmon' you guys, everyone knows those games dont count!!! In fact, we should be scared because all the Rams D does is hurt QB's which is awesome and so we shouldn't play Palmer at all, he hopes we dont have injuries but seriously, dont play Palmer cuz the Rams D will probably shank him in the parking lot.

He's not a homer tho, unlike us he study's his team and he knows exactly how this is all going to play out because this is the Rams year but he's not a homer but SuperBowl Champs built to win, QB killers, crowd thrillers, road warriors, sorry not sorryers, super star honey buches of touchdows and years! Hams and Rams people, Hams and Rams.
But he's totally not a homer and seriously, he's here just to talk football, SERIOUSLY!

Although I'm sure he's steaming about getting banned. Probably sitting in his 4th period Math class right now, passing out dead tired because he stayed up all night arguing with Cardinals fans about how great the Rams are. At lunch, while they drank pints of Chocolate Milk and ate square pizza he probably told his buddies that he schooled some Cardinals fans that were talking crap and then got banned because we couldn't handle the heat.

After school, he'll walk home and pass by his high school football team. They'll be practicing, and he'll be thinking "Man, they suck. The Rams would destroy them". When he gets home, he'll read the posts on this thread. Maybe he'll try to make another log in so he can come in and tell us he's a 30 year old with a wife and 2 kids and a 6 figure job.

At any rate, he'll play this game in his Madden Franchise and beat the Cardinals on the Pro difficulty setting 45-3 and he'll know. He will know the Rams are dominant, dominant in his video game.

This type of thread scares me. We cards fans are getting cocky and that's bad mojo. That's why I try to never talk like this as I am scared that I will jinx the team. I hope this thread doesn't cause problems. :)

What is the point of having a winning team if you can't enjoy the actual winning side of it. Battered Card fan syndrome is alive and well still. It is ok to be confident and maybe a little cocky that your team is good and you EXPECT to win games. I much rather be on this side of the coin than the other side which is where we have been much too long as a franchise. So enjoy it and live a little!

This. Unless you truly believe that what you say on this board is going to have a negative effect on the team, but that would be at least a little crazy.

That's a bit harsh but true.
I know the whole situation fairly well having followed the team and living in St. Louis I know that absent Michael taking over it'd of been hard to argue St Louis was wrong in letting the Cardinals go but the fact is that once they had a proper stadium finally they started spending some money which is what they said all along they would do.
Looking at how St. Louis is treating Kroenke, I wonder what your perceptions of the Bidwills was like from back then?

I mean, my impression has always been that Bill was a "bad" owner in St. Louis but in retrospect, seeing what the Cardinals have done in Arizona, that kind of doesn't add up. Was it Bidwill's intent to have in St. Louis what they now have in Arizona? If so, I'd put the fault on St. Louis for the Cardinals moving.

It seems to me that Kroenke wanted in St. Louis what he's planning in Inglewood but St. Louis wouldn't support him. They want to be in control of the stadium, they want to benefit from it but they want Kroenke to pay for it. If this is how they dealt with Bidwill back in the day, I'd have to revise my earlier impression of him being a bad owner.

And, to the topic at hand, I predicted a pretty bad loss to the Steelers last week and IMO, Rams had every right to win that game. It surprised me. 1 dropped pass was really the difference in that game. It wasn't a case of needing a series of events to happen differently. If Kendricks could catch, the Rams would have won.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, but the Rams D really is being wasted by a terrible offense. But, even that offense would have been better had they not wasted 2+ series just to get Gurley's feet wet. So, as bad as the offense is, it was good enough to win if not for bad coaching.

Which Rams team shows up though? The one that can stifle the Steelers and (somewhat) the Seahawks, or the one that got lit up by the Redskins? It should be a good game but with these two, it won't surprise me whichever team wins.

This AND....

How in the WORLD does what it's fan's say on a message board equate to real life on the field bad juju?

Now if we were PLAYERS talking smack that might be different but I can't remember the last time a coach went on tv and said guys. GUYS please don't talk smack on the interwebs, the twitters and pinstress the other team is putting that crap up in the locker room and we're getting our ass beat because of it.

So there is the whole battered fan syndrome along with the magical fan thinking syndrome.

Cards 50 rams -3

BA can send me a check to stop talking smack. :)

I don't see anyone being cocky. If I went on the Rams forum right now and acted like a know it all clown who was there to educate all the ignorant and delusional homers there, I'd expect to get flamed WAY worse than that kid did. I actually think we were pretty nice!

I mean look at him; I was just sarcastic with him and he lost his freaking mind!!! Lol

If you can't take the heat, well, you know...

seriously... dude came in with "If ifs and buts were candy nuts" statements and expected us to bow down to him. He was delusional and got treated pretty fair with people talking reality and he lost it.

You are what you are. The Cardinals are 3-0 and outscoring their opponents by like 77 points. The Rams are 1-2. They beat a struggling Seahawks team at home and then lost to a very very bad Washington team on the road and couldn't muster the offensive firepower to beat a Steelers team with a poor defense and a starting QB that was injured during the game.

Heck that game reminded me of our second Rams game last year. They take out Stanton, we put in our 3/4th string QB and they still can't muster enough points to take out our 3 point lead.

Also, why should we make excuses that we beat 3 bad teams? We destroyed 2 of them like a very good team should and never really struggled too much against the Saints, who still had Brees at the helm.

The Rams season thus far is a microcosm of their existence over the past few years. A great win, an inexplicable loss and a game that they could have won if they only had an offense. That's the Rams in a nutshell.

Can anyone answer this? What is so magical about "after the bye"? He kept saying it over and over and over....Ater the bye we will dominate, after the bye watch out, after the bye we are SB bound......so what happens after the bye, they learn how to steal signals like the Patriots? I don't get it
