Zimmerman admitted killing the kid, in self defense. The two cases aren't even similar. People pretend to be fair minded, until a jury returns with a verdict they don't like.

Let's just tell it like it is: you get a jury of your peers up there and there's a high probability that jury is full of *********. I don't want a jury of my peers. I want ****'s way smarter than me; with a better work ethic; and a better sense of justice and fairness than I now possess. Certainly wouldn't want you dudes on my jury.

Only if your innocent.

(In our legal system a defendant who believes that the evidence or lack of will support an acquital usually decides to appear before a judge alone.)

No one interested in this at all? I think it's a pretty big thing.. And as time is going by, the more its looking bad for Hernandez..

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...dez-with-dead-associate-on-evening-of-murder/

Another one of their team members just got in trouble with the law about a week or two ago. All I previously knew about Hernandez was that he was very good at football. After reading about his past even in high school he would have given me pause to sign him. He looked like a guy headed for trouble right from the get go. NE was known as a Mr. Good Guy type team. Seems they do have a few blemishes. Mr. B sure would not have signed him if for no other reason than all those tattoos.

Then ask for a trail before judge alone.

Over here, if the facts are on your side defendants select this option, if not, try to sway a jury of the not too clever.

...and the hits keep on coming for Hernandez

http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/20...fe-behavior/nIKIJrz82ucXDKeQquNWeN/story.html

According to the summary, head coach Bill Belichick was “infuriated” over Hernandez’s missed practices and other issues, and he was “one misstep from being cut.”

The magazine also reported that Hernandez was “a heavy user” of the drug angel dust who took to carrying a gun at all times because he had become paranoid.

The summary also said that when Hernandez was at the University of Florida, then-head football coach Urban Meyer “may have helped cover up failed drug tests” and the player’s possible involvement in a shooting outside a local bar.

You know the more information that comes out the more you have to wonder how this guy made it this far.

How do these people allow these guys to maintain the act? He was scamming everyone and everyone covered for him. What is he Bank of America or JP Morgan Chase?

Gotta love the coach who helps cheating at drug tests and covering up for bar shootings. Way to teach the young men under you. Is Odin Lloyd dead because Urban Mayer is a scumbag? Maybe.

While it doesn't shock me too much, I still find this all to be a bit surreal. People need to stop with perception management and start dealing with reality. How many shootings has Hernandez been linked to and people turned the other way? Incredibly sad.

Not gonna defend Meyer or make him out to be a saint... However, you might want to wait and see if any facts surface about his role in all this before you crucify he guy...

They've now released the full Rolling Stone article. Must read.

http://www.rollingstone.com/feature/the-gangster-in-the-huddle

Just the first paragraph.
The first text pinged him around nine that Sunday night: I’m coming to grab that tonight, you gon b around? I need dat and we could step for a little again. For Odin Lloyd, this was bang-up news, proof that his luck had turned around. Aaron Hernandez, the Pro Bowl tight end of the New England Patriots, was coming by later to scoop him up for another five-star debauch, just 36 hours after he’d taken Lloyd out for the wildest ride of his life. All night Friday, they’d kicked it at Rumor, popping bottles and pulling models up the steps of the VIP section of the Boston theater district’s hottest club. “**** was crazy,” Lloyd told friends the next day at his niece’s dance recital. “The girls were off the chain. We smoked that super-duper and Aaron dropped 10 G’s like it was nothing. We kept rolling past dawn at his big-ass mansion, then he tossed me the keys to his Suburban.”

Big doings for a semipro football player and underemployed landscape helper, though there, too, fortune smiled on Lloyd, 27. He’d just gotten word that he’d have shifts all week, his first steady hours in some time. And now he was about to burn it down again with Hernandez, the $40 million man with the restless streak and a bottomless taste for chronic. The problem, Lloyd said, was it didn’t end there with Hernandez and his how-high crew: “Them boys is into way worse **** than herb.”

The facts will be in a court of law about his current case. This is more about everything that led him to that point. All the things he did. All the people that looked the other way. This is the facts that surface. You're not going to find out anything better than this most likely.

The court will find if he's guilty, that's not what I'm talking about, guilt or innocent.

I can't pin any percentage of what happened to Lloyd on Meyer - but I think by now it should be crystal clear that how pious, caring, family oriented and structured as he presents himself he sure ran one dirty program where a lot of players were having a lot of things not leak out

Lock him up and throw away the key.

Prosecutors say former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez murdered two innocent men who did nothing more than cross paths with the wrong person two years ago.

At a press conference announcing that Hernandez is being charged for the double murder, District Attorney Daniel Conley said that victims Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado were gunned down by Hernandez, and that police have recovered the murder weapon, a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, and linked it to Hernandez.

Where there's smoke, there is usually fire. Just like all the people at the start of this thread that were defending Hernandez when the facts started to come out. I don't hear too many people backing him up now.

Like I said, I'm not gonna defend the guy or make him out to be a saint. That said, I haven't seen any facts or evidence to suggest that Meyer had some sort of direct role in keeping Hernandez out of jail.
At the end of the day, Meyer will have to cope with whatever he knows to be true. And if he did "do things" that concealed evidence, or anything else that covered up for Hernandez during his time in Florida, then I pray the Meyer somehow repents and supremely apologizes to all those who have been impacted by Hernandez's dirty deeds...

What a tragic, tragic story this is growing into...

No, if he did 'do things' that concealed evidence, I pray Meyer gets thrown in the clink.

Aaron Hernandez killed two men over a spilled drink, prosecutors claim

http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/sto...-boston-arraignment-prosecutors-crime-details

Aaron Hernandez gunned down two men at a Boston intersection nearly two years ago because one of them bumped into him, spilled his drink and didn't apologize, prosecutors alleged at Hernandez's arraignment in a Boston courtroom on double-murder charges Wednesday afternoon.

Hernandez, handcuffed throughout the proceeding, pleaded not guilty to seven charges in all, including the two murders. He is next due to be in the same court on June 24 for scheduling. Clerk magistrate Gary D. Wilson ordered him held without bail. He already is jailed in Bristol County on a charge of killing Odin Lloyd.

There's nothing to the Urban Meyer "cover up" other than some writer trying to speculate that he is somehow accountable for Hernandez being a murderer. It's been hashed over and over around here and nothing has come up to show any thread of eveidence that Meyer did anything like that.

Just for arguments sake, let's say Meyer covered up a failed drug test or even a shoplifting charge. To stretch that into him being held accountable for a guy who kills 3 people years down the road is nonsensical.

Allegedly!

:/

I think its a pretty safe bet one of his homies will turn on him to save their own behind. It is reported that after the shooting Hernandez stated that he was pretty sure he got one in the head and the other in the chest.

It just amazes me that Hernandez thought it would be a good idea to even be associated with stuff like while making millions in the NFL. Did he really think he was above the law or exempt from it? Of course Hernandez will never play in the NFL again. By the time he gets out of jail he will be too long of tooth to play.
