At this point you have to think he is stuck in limbo so the Cards can not legally ask for his bonus back. Of he is reinstated the team could then release him and require the bonus back.

This seems like the only reason to not make an effort to be reinstated.

They are the one's terminating the deal in that scenario and can't legally demand a return of bonus.

Huh? The D played pretty well I think. The O just didn't help them at all. The D kept them in the game. Reminded me of last year....

Article today from azcentral about it.

http://www.azcentral.com/story/spor...als-daryl-washington-out-sight-mind/73664856/

...Still, some Cardinals fans clamor for Washington’s return. Or at least an update on his status. Via twitter and e-mail, it’s the question I’ve been asked most since the spring.
Nothing has changed, an NFL spokesman wrote in an e-mail this week. Washington remains suspended. Indefinitely.
No one from the NFL is commenting further. Washington has not replied to text messages. His agent has not replied to e-mails, and Cardinals employees come close to covering their ears and shouting whenever his name is mentioned.
...

In April, his agent said Washington would apply for reinstatement within a week or two. A later report pegged the application date as May 8, but no one has confirmed that Washington actually applied.
We’re left to fill the vacuum of information with our own deductions. It doesn’t take a huge leap in logic to come to the conclusion that Washington did not meet the criteria for reinstatement from the substance-abuse suspension.
(He still faces punishment for domestic violence under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.)
Players in stage three of the substance abuse program, like Washington, can be tested up to 10 times a month. And the league’s policy makes it clear that testing clean and following a treatment program is a big part of being reinstated...

Even if he does get reinstated, he hasn't played football at the highest level (no pun intended) for close to 2 years, there's no way he's gonna be ready to go for this team.

I check it out periodically like I do the "Adrian Peterson wants to be a Cardinal?" thread. (sarcasm)

Im going to bump this thread when he plays agin for the Cards, still dont understand how most of you are so passive on this. Who says hes not in shape? Who says hes still smoking all the time? Who says the Cardinals are cutting him? Show me where it says he will not play this season?

I literally shook his hand 3 weeks ago in Vegas as i mentioned in another thread, he was wearing a Cards hat, leaner than ever, and was not drinking even though his girl was.

You do realize that not only has he not be reinstated, but he also hasn't even been punished yet for the domestic violence incident! He's toast for this season dude - just accept it and move on already!!

Dude got paid, he's rich and isn't interested in coming back.

He doesn't love the game, he proves that by continually being stupid. I am positive he's testing positive still...and why not? If that's more important to him than football, he's blazing, having fun and sitting on fat stacks from his contract bonus.

And there's the dif between him and Honey Badger; contrary to the meme, HB does care...about football.
