Woo hoo - Bucky is gone!!

Yet he wasn't the worst. Bucky's mumbling is better than Ace's falsetto. Scary, but true.

Ace HAS to be next. Elliot in the bottom three was suprising, especially taking dialidol into account.

i think elliott scored some points last night - hopefully it carries over into a week where he should do pretty well

and I can't stand ace, but thought his performance last night wasn't bad - first time the guy actually showed some energy & emotion (at the right parts of the song no less)

Both are bad - and yes, Ace was worse than Bucky this week. Ace gets the teen-girl vote - they think he is "dreamy"... :barf:

I didn't mind Bucky's voice as much as I thought he always looked lost on stage. He seemed so uncomfortable up there that it made me uncomfortable.

PS--LIAC, :BIM: --It's "freak" ( in your sig)

What a bad, boring, nap inducing night. Terribly boring. Pretty good singing, but boring performances almost across the board.

Ace is gone, though he did better than most.

1. Best by far, with no peers, was Katherine. Great voice, great presence and just well done. Not the best I've ever seen by a long shot, but even merely ok would be spectacular on this night's efforts.

2a. Taylor, only because the last 30 seconds were entertaining.

2b. Ace, because he actually sang pretty good and suprised me. Gone.

2c. Elliot, only because he did well towards the end. Bottom 3?

2d. Chris, only because that song is the best ever. His performance of it, however, was not. Boring. I'm tired of him trying NOT to win this competition when he could. He's letting Taylor and Pickler grab the final two instead of him and Taylor. What a travesty. Might even sniff bottom 3 here, which would shock.

2e. Paris. I don't like her low voice..sounds like she is mimicking a frog that is mimicking Shakira. She did ok in this genre, but boy I hate her voice. Bottom 3.

Which brings us to the worst.

7. Pickler. Egads! I thought she was singing the Meow Mix commercial at first. I swear to god, it sounded like she was singing Meow over and over. She was just bad. I was SHOCKED that the judges gave her poor marks...she sounded just as terrible tonight as she always does, and usually that leaves a stain in Simon's jeans. However, her line to Rod Stewart "you can take a load off my chest" and his reaction was priceless.

Rod was very cool, albeit useless.

I actually thought it was a pretty good night. I don't mind that type of music, so I guess it worked for me.

A lot of them had great, great vocals. Didn't like Ace at all, and didn't like Pickler at all. Everytime she opens her mouth when she's not singing, I feel like banging my head into a wall.

I like those songs too, but none of the performances were very good IMO. I thought the vocals were very good, for the most part, but the performances were just boring. Very much so.

I think it's funny that I look forward to D-Dogg, Dback Jon and Migrating Osprey's comments almost as much as the show itself! ;)

heh - i have no comments this week as I was at the Jimmy Buffett show - tonight I'll be at the d'backs game - so later in the week I'll have to get caught up with the actual show and results

I consulted with my wife and she was blasting pickler and said that ace may of done enough to hang on

she's a chris fan and of course likes about anything he does

she said katherine ruled the night (and as a McPhee fan i'm glad to hear it)

she was also a fan of paris last night (although in general is getting tired of her)

other than that she pretty much agrees with the above - some good vocals, but boring performances

so that is my retelling of the wife's recap to me

You are nuts. I thought last night was BY FAR the best night.

Although I agree with you about Pickler. How much longer can the Pickler trainwreck squeel her way through? Probably all the way to the finals, unfortunately.

Great vocal night... The type of music, however, does not really promote entertainment as I think most people relate it to an American Idol competition... Last night was a night for Clay Aiken, and that other little red headed Frank Sinatra type kid...

But overall good vocally for most that are left...

I actually thought last night was some of the best singing we have had this year, and for the most part enjoyed it.

1) McPheever!! Awesome, awesome singing - blew away the rest of the field.

2) Taylor - actually liked him last night, he has a great voice, and didn't jerk around too much. The beginning was shaky, but after the first verse, brought it!

3) Elliott - Nice ending - beginning a little shaky - but overall a great performance.

4) Paris - sounded good doing Billie Holliday - has the voice for that type of song.

5) Chris - boring, boring, boring......Anwar did this so much better. Fortunately for Chris, Ace and Kellie blew monkey chunks this week.

20) Ace - Guido in training, the slicked-back hair didn't work. And could you not sing falsetto for once??

33) Kellie - Ugh, Awful, Horrendous. Can we voter her and Ace out?

During the show, I said "Man, I didnt know Antonio Banderas could sing."

Pickler continues to rue the day I said to D-Dogg (after he missed her audition and now-questionable sob story), "I like this girl named Kellie Pickler, I think she'll go far." Damn you Meow Mix, damn you to hell. ;)

That was jacked up that they made Taylor go stand with the group he thought was the safe group. Put him in a very bad position. He handled it just about as good as one could in that situation.

It was pretty clear that Ace was going home...little suprised to see Chris there and Paris was a no brainer IMO as well.

Bocelli next week...I can't wait until next Wednesday when HE performs. That dude is a stud.

Don't scare me like that!!!

He needs to step it up and lose the cocky "this is how my fans like me" attitude when asked why he keeps picking crappy songs... or he will remain on the bottom... Most potential imo, and keeps showing the least of it...

I agree. I thought that show was great--even by singers I normally don't care for (Ace, too).

I think the final three will be:
Chris
Taylor
Kat

Kat wins the contest, but Chris becomes rich and famous. Taylor ends up on the Sureal Life in 3 years.
