Pretty boring night, IMO. Again. But...

1. ELLIOT. Wow, I loved that performance. I had it play three times and it was better each time. He might have flubbed a line at the start, but boy was it good. He finally made an audience connection, imo. Great job.

2. Taylor. Did he make that song up? It was crap. He was good but it was crap. He was far behind ET's friend tonight though.

3. Bucky. SHOCK! I loved Bucky tonight...he hit his vibe and hit it hard. What a hick. Love that guy.

4. Ace. Mostly because of the song, but he did a good job. Best he's done since Father Figure.

5. Chris. Please bring it back from the edge. That song sucked, and didn't sound that good. He's losing some of his magic with the voters.

6. Mandisa. She really, really can't sing. That song proved it. However, she can belt it out. That song also proved it. She's quite the conundrum.

7. Katherine. I hate the song, hate the way she sang it. Abomb and my wife liked it, but I think I just hate Aguilera so much that anything by her gets thumbs down. Too warbly in my tastes.

8. Paris. Looked stupid and is not Beyonce. Poop.

9. Pickler. Hick through and through. Sang a song called..I think...Sucks in a Bucket. At least that's what I came away with. And she does. Suck. In a bucket. I think it is very easy to sing one note country songs. I think Pickler is hot. I think she's in the top three. I think America is tone deaf.

10. Lisa. Horrendous. Sang a very good Kelly Clarkson song like a horse might. Terrible. Somewhere, Kelly Clarkson's grave is getting prepared for its future owner to do much rolling around in it.

I usually agree, but tonight he did very well. I don't know if that is a testament to Bucky doing well, or the whole damn group being very poor. I lean towards the latter. I thought this was the weakest show so far. Of a lot of seasons.

BTW, I just downloaded all of Kelly Clarkson's performances from season one last week, and I have to say...AI is very lucky they grabbed her in that net. She was amazing. She outchops all the singers now by far, and is so versatile. Her big band night song was fantastic. If you are interested in seeing someone who CAN sing in this competition..DL her performances. Nice nostalgia. Rewatching that absolutely ruins the show for me now. Its kind of funny to look back. Such a young show then...who would have thought it would become the ratings behemouth it is now.

i really didn't feel a connection with anyone else

loved taylors performance - but it didn't do much for me as far as the song

i like mcphee, but i thought she was in the bottom tier

pickler is boring now

i hate creed

i used to say that I thought they should do a more contemporary theme to see how these guys would look doing modern, applicable stuff

with that said i'm going to end this thread with something as improbable as the start - bring back barry!

Paris annoys the heck out of me to no end. Paris seems to me to be over acting bubbly trying to act sexy or something like that. Her talking and singing voice annoys me. I liked here vioce alot when she did that old song in the first audition though and I think she should stick with that.

Elliot annoys me a little less after finally getting some stage presence.

Ace has zero stage presence or personallity.

Mandisa just sounded really bad to me, same with Chris and I think Simon hit the nail on the head with both.

I would buy a Taylor album any day of the week, his voice is so old school/blues/Rock. Totally different from anything out today.

Chris I think went a little over board and to hard for the main stream audience and he didnt sound that good doing it either, bad song.

Everyone else was just plain old Blah, overall not a good night at all.

I agree completely Joeshmo! I like her a lot, but damn it's difficult to keep it up because she's so damn dramatic, and overacts everything. It's way too fake, and VERY irritating.

2 Weeks in a row that has sucked.

Madissa voice is losing it. Taylor looks and sounds tired. Cant understand a word Bucky is saying. Paris is losing her luster really fast. I still dont see what is so good about Elliot.

This was Pickles Element. Chris can sing the slower songs, which he really needed to show after going rocker overboard last week. I like Kat more and more every week I think she is starting to find her groove, the more she stays on the show the more she will be a force to be reckoned with.

Taylor seemed disinterested this week. Almost like he was distracted. I wonder if something's up with him.

Mandisa is at her best when she's belting it out, and at her worst when she needs to show retraint. Last night was a perfect storm for her with that song choice. I fear she may be leaving.

First things first, Taylor won't get booted. He's got a massive fan base that will keep him in no matter what. His dialidol busy ranking was still number one, at close to 40%. However, it usually is around 60%, so he did taper off a lot. But also, all the contestants tapered off too.

My thoughts, top 10.


1. Katherine--First off, this song sucked, I didn't like it at all. Stupid song. Kat sang the hell out of it though, and although I didn't think it was the best right away, her performance stuck in my head and that's a good thing. Plus, she looked very sexy...perhaps she made that audience connection she so desperately needs? She edged out Pickler on dialidol this week, something nobody has done yet. Yay.

2. Chris - I've been one of the biggest advocate of not supporting Chris until he proved he could go outside of his comfort zone, and give me something a little more than just rocking. He sang a very different song from his standard fare, and he did it very, very well. I put him this high because unlike Elliot's version of his slow song, I felt Chris singing...he was captivating and has a real sense of performance to him. He's cemented his place in my top three (which consists of Katherine, Chris and Taylor).

3. Paris - I'm not the biggest Paris fan, and I think she has some weird quality in her voice when she goes low, but boy did she knock that song out last night. Very good job. However, she's my shot in the dark pick at being voted off.

4. Bucky - Man, I like Bucky...I like him a lot. I thought he started slowly but he came on strong at the end and I loved his close sitting down. I think this week and last week he's had some good performances. I can understand him...but I can see how some people can't. Might be bottom three tonight.

5. Pickler - First off, shut up Pickler you *****. I'm glad they addressed her fakeness, and I'm even more glad she tried to defend it, terribly. She's a rag and I'm so fed up with her act. With that said, she did a pretty good job on that song. I happen to HATE Reba with all my heart, but I like Fancy...great country song. Even though Pickler did alright, I'd rather hear Reba sing that song.

6. Ace - Sang an incredibly boring song in an incredibly boring manner. Good lord. At least he didn't show me his scar. However, his voice sounded good and he even held off on his falsetto, only humming in it and doing a run of no words...I wish he'd stop the falsetto entirely, but at least there were no words in false this time.

7. Elliot - Great voice, good song choice but he looked so scared out there. Gripping the mike with both hands, no emotion, very scared looking. If he had more emotion and feeling with that song, he could have been up there with it. I'm afraid he will be in the bottom three. I wish he'd have brought the energy from last week's performance.

8. Mandisa - Continues to prove me right. Can't sing. Can belt. She's a one trick pony, even though that trick is incredibly impressive and good. I mean, if your pony's trick was being able to read out loud, you're going to be rich. Bottom three tonight.

9. Taylor - Missed it, but caught it online. Not good. Not at all. Taylor has been my favorite in this contest, but boy that was terrible. Blech. He's 100% safe this week though.
