Some of us watch very different football games today apparently. Not sure I'd put this on the coaches when you've got literal practice squad DBs out there covering. That one drive where #27 Peterson had back to back deep ball PIs was just terrible. We desperately need Dre Kirkpatrick and Murphy back as soon as possible.

You say this like Miami wasn’t missing their best 2 RBs & WR2 for a half. 5 assistant coaches as well

I get that, but shouldnt Kliff have taken into account that scoring a td puts you up 4, so even if miami gets 1:30 lefts, they still have to score a td to win.

Really wish he made that 3rd down throw...but then again we should have went for there throat after that big gainer.

I really wish Chase picked up a yard

He probably did and didn't like the chances that the defense would stop them in that scenario. Of course it is ultimately better to be up and hope the defense holds on, but considering the defense not showing they could contain the Miami offense I am not surprised that he didn't want to give Miami time to answer back.

Also you'd rather try to score as quickly as possible in case you...ya know miss a kick.

If that was Russell Wilson or Mahomes on the other side...I'd get wanting to run it a bit and not score too fast.

Too much respect for Tua.

Hopefully a learning experience for the team though.

He also posted a Total QBR of 96.7...the highest of his career.

Now up to 8th in the league.

Downside? Tua posted an 88 in just his 2nd start ever. Cant let that happen.

Except we made Tua look like RW pretty much the whole game. Don't blame Kliff for not wanting to give him time to work. That being said the points are of course more important than the time you leave them with. Plenty of time to burn some clock once you get near the goal line.

Imo...

If you're running it two times/eating clock...you had to assume he was going for it if they didnt get that 3rd down.

You slow play it once you get to the redzone...not before.

96.7 QBR & 150 passer rating. Even with the fumble thats never a game you would imagine your qb ever losing looking at stats smdh

I know, it was tough watching K2 fumble that ball for a TD instead of throwing it away. Team game, team loss.
Exactly. Two offsides that gave them first and 5 on the same drive. Face mask and pass interference gave them 35 yards on the same drive. Holding on the same play they had pass interference which negated a 15 yards run.

Too many times we are chasing the chains or shortening the chains for them on penalties.

The dolphins were missing all of their running backs and two wrs and still found a way to make their offense work. With a rookie QB in his second game. I expect our defensive coordinator to be able to make the defense work with a couple missing pieces.

Could have started with helping over the top on KP's side of the field or know that Tua likes to throw left and have PP manning that side of the field in anticipation. That probably makes at least some sort of difference in the outcome.

True. We put up 31. Our defense sucked.

I mean TBF our defense allowed less points than we scored (27). Still shouldn't have given up 27, but in a game with no turnovers that may have been just enough for the win.

Kyler did everything right but the last pass of the game.

the fact he played so well and we still lost is really an indictment of our defense.
