he didn't slap the kid he knocked the poster out of the kids hands as he was walking off. I saw it on tv but a couple of people on Bruinzone who were at the game saw it happen. Apparently security saw it too so I'll be pretty surprised if he's not suspended.

Meh. I doubt he'll be suspended. Sounds more like he'll get a talkin to by Endfield than anything else. Had he pulled a Malik Dime, then it'd be another story.

USC needs to win @UA, so I doubt it wants to go to Tucson without all of its horses.

Well given that the Pac 12 publicly announced they were not suspending him after the oregon game but had spoken to USC about it I suspect USC won't have much choice, suspend him or we will but we'll see.

I agree I think the reason Enfield didn't suspend him is he knew they needed a win against UCLA for seeding, didn't get it so he certainly won't suspend him against UA if he has a choice. I suspect he won't have a choice.

I will be at the UCLA game next Saturday, the atmosphere is going to be crazy. ESPN's Gameday will be making it's 3rd appearance(5th overall, 3 basketball, 2 football) just makes it a great day, plus it will only help with recruiting.

Should be a tough matchup considering their PG is better than Steph.

Yeah LaVar is funny. Some UCLA fans were even bothered by that I don't get it, the guy loves his sons and speaks out, I much prefer LaVar Ball to Stan Love or some of the other parents around. I'm sure he gets that if you put Steph on the current UCLA team we'd be unbeaten and number 1 in the country(the current Steph) but he doesn't want to back down on that.

The concern with him has always been Gelo, is he realistic enough to get Gelo might not ever start at UCLA let alone be a 1 and done and can he deal with that?

UCLA is playing well right now should be a great game.

You can always tell when UCLA is playing well by counting how many new aliases Jessie has on free BRO. In the last 2 weeks they have banned 12 of her aliases and there are 2 more new ones. Jessie gets nervous when UCLA is playing well.

Lonzo's first game vs Golden St should be must see though. Wouldn't mind if it's in purple & orange.

Maybe Jessie is BeachCat97 on the BearDownAZ site which took over for GoAzCats a few years back. He's always going at it with Mr Bug how irrelevant UCLA is in the grand scheme of things. He got defensive about them being good and said he'd stop posting if AZ beat UCLA.

They should be right back in contention even without Lonzo. I like Hands and they have some other coming coming in and returning. I think if Brooks comes back Oregon will be the team to beat. If they lose him and don't get McCoy they might fall back a bit.

My understanding is Jessie is a woman and apparently delusional. A friend used to work at Twitter, during the Justise Winslow recruitment Jessie was posting on Twitter trolling Duke boards posting propaganda about Duke. One of the Duke guys complained to Twitter that Jessie was essentially making up stuff that was borderline slander and Twitter needed to block her or they were complicit in it. Twitter had apparently warned her before so they blocked her. She threatened to sue Twitter for interfering in the recruitment of a student athlete, it was beyond hilarious. He happens to be a Duke fan, knew I'm a UCLA fan also recruiting Winslow so he told me the story.

Sure wish I could say the same about Arizona. I know we're shorthanded but we're starting to look like a one and done if something doesn't change soon. This is by far the worst we've looked all season. Not that there's much to that statement, given that we're discussing a team that's 25 and 3 but still, our play of late is quite worrisome.

Assuming you get Allen and Ristic back you should be ok. I would say the freshmen are hitting the wall at the same time but Markkanen has 2 good games in a row and it seems like Alkins has been consistent. Simmons seems up and down since Trier came back but that's to be expected his minutes have been cut. PJC seems to be getting hot now right when Allen got hurt.

It'll be an interesting game with ESPN there, assuming both teams take care of business Thur it's a big game #4 and #5 nationally.

UCLA is sandwiched between two tough games. They have to beat USC for buildup and then you can't have a letdown in Tempe if you do end up beating UCLA. ASU will be trying to spoil the conference championship in that case. We've lost in Tempe with more talented teams than this.

It's a trap for both teams in a sense. UCLA has ASU now they just beat Oregon and USC with UA looming so ASU is a trap.

For UA they have USC and UCLA and then a potential trap at ASU to finish up the season.

For UCLA it's a big game for seeding, they're ranked 5th but most people still seem to have them as a 4 seed, the OOC didn't pan out teams we beat turned out not as good as people expected they were. So right now UK and Oregon are the only really good wins, a win at McKale would be a great win for seeding. Seems unlikely but UCLA is playing so I'm hoping the pull it off.

In theory if UCLA won out they could get the 2 seed in the West I just don't see that happening.

As good as UCLA is offensively and as poor as ASU is defensively it shouldn't be much of a test. Lonzo and TJ gonna eat...

I'm trying to think of a way another team out west besides Gonzaga gets a #1 seed. If Arizona or Oregon win out they should be #1 in the west and send Gonzaga to the South or something.

I don't think unless the Zags lose somehow anybody but them get the 1 seed in the West. They are really good obviously not a great schedule. The NCAA may take into account UA not at full strength when the Zags beat you but they're not ranking UA ahead of the Zags unless they lose a game before the dance.

Gonzaga is the #1 seed in the West and is likely going to stay that way unless it loses to one of the many redheaded step children it plays in conference play (except St Mary's). If it loses to a team like Pacific, all bets are off.

If AZ or Oregon wins out they could go South. Duke has been #1 in the west so...

West - Gonzaga
Midwest - Kansas
East - Nova
South - P12 or ACC winner

Such a poorly coached last few minutes by Cal. I get that Rooks and Okoroh aren't good foul shooters but my goodness they were 5-6 from the floor combined almost all dunks or layups. Oregon was doubling Rabb off the ball, just use him as a decoy and dump the ball inside even if they foul the guys you're at least putting them in foul trouble. Instead they'd take a contested 25 footer to beat the clock and Oregon would go down the court and lay it in with the defense not set due to the bad shot.

Rabb needs to be more aggressive but 10 and 12 when you're being double teamed the whole game it's not his fault is the coaches' fault for not figuring out how to use that double team to his advantage. AS Walton said(rare time he was paying attention) put Rabb at the high post where if they double him they can't get away with it as easily.

Definition of surviving trap games last night. UCLA looking ahead to UA, UA looking ahead to UCLA. UA with 2 hurt guys coming back, UCLA with Lonzo getting hurt in the first half, the whole team holding their breath, and then he came back and looked ok in the 2nd half. Never know with an ankle but appears he'll be ok Sat.

I gotta say that kid Torian Graham is going to get paid to shoot for the next 10 years or so, maybe not an NBA guy right now but man can he fill it up.

Guessing it's gamesmanship but after finding out yesterday Lonzo's foot is in a boot from the ankle sprain against ASU, betting sites are now listing him as "probable" for the game. Everything I hear is he's going to play, ankle will be sore but he'll play.

Yeah they've already said he's playing.

Last time UA ran Bryce off the 3 and made Lonzo shoot. UCLA has adjusted since then, Bryce has almost as many assists as Lonzo the last 5 games, it'll be interesting to see the strategies today.

It's a wonder we only lost by 5 with a chance to tie. Poor rebounding, poor outside shooting, key players in foul trouble early.

Yeah I said at the half UCLA is going to win becausae we were missing open 3's I knew we'd start hitting. Man was Trier unreal tonight kept you in the game.

Going zone was huge and I was screaming the whole first half to Iso Leaf on Markkanen and we did it in the 2nd half and it was huge. Leaf has figured out how to go left in the last few games and I knew Markkanen would sit on his right hand and he did and it cost him

Markannen will get destroyed in the NBA if he doesn't learn to defend. I realize his shooting ability keeps Miller from benching him but I wish he would've to send a message. Pinder has quick feet and he's physical.

Credit to UCLA. Lonzo wasn't himself but Alford and Welsh stepped up.
