Markannen will get destroyed in the NBA if he doesn't learn to defend. I realize his shooting ability keeps Miller from benching him but I wish he would've to send a message. Pinder has quick feet and he's physical.

Credit to UCLA. Lonzo wasn't himself but Alford and Welsh stepped up.

I thought Lonzo essentially dominated the end of the game. Not by scoring necessarily just making all the plays UCLA needed. Big rebounds in traffic, the block from behind on Lauri, looks like in the box they gave it to Leaf but it looked like Lonzo got it. Several big assists.

Trier nearly got UA all the way back.

The first game Lauri outplayed TJ, in this one TJ got the best of him, but also as you said Welsh in the 2nd half and Ike in the first half were huge.

Also after an abysmal first half that contributed greatly to Arizona taking the lead, Holiday had a terrific 2nd half shooting the ball

#1 seed in the West up for grabs now with Gonzaga losing? P12 tourney is big now and it's almost assured AZ/UCLA will play again.

Gonzaga has several quality OOC wins and 2 against St Mary's. It'll be fine,

Yeah, had we won out including the UCLA game, it might have been at risk but they'd need another loss now for it to even be a discussion IMO. Now, even with another Gonzaga loss, I suspect it would take a perfect Oregon finish for a Pac school to have a long shot chance to sneak in.

Kobi Simmons has rendered himself worthless. 11 min last 2 games, 5 fouls. 2 points. Has like 11 points his last 4 games total.

Dude is already looking at the draft. Damn fool.

Is he still determined to go? I'd heard from a friend who's a UA fan that he already told the coaches he wants to leave but he's sure struggling. Alkins was brilliant. If you guys shoot that well tonight you'll win. I'm hoping UCLA got their stinker game out of their system last night, too many turnovers.

Kobi has told everyone who'll listen that he's gone. He shouldn't go, that's for sure, unless he likes Europe.

Man who has these kids' ear? Kobi Jason place in the NBA next year. He's shown an ability to jump. That's it imo.

Have to believe alkins is back next year. He's good, but doesn't really have skill sets for a position in NBA at present.

Lauri will be back too. To watch his old team unfortunately.

As of today (3/10/17):

Kobi - gone
Lauri - gone
Trier - gone
Alkins - back

Keep an eye on Dusan. He may opt to go back to Europe to play professionally.

The ones that are hard to take are ones like Simmons or last year USC losing Julian Jacobs. Guys who you know don't have an established position yet in the NBA.

From the outside Simmons is the kid who has "lost" the most since Trier came back, he just has not adjusted to it.

Crazy bad luck for Ball.

I wouldn't call that a clean game for Zona. Clanking so many FTs, dumb turnovers, and tight buttholes towards the end.

I meant the shooting from 3, tough team to defend if you shoot like that because of the size.

For UCLA we have Leaf with the ankle and now Ball with the thumb. Apparently Lonzo actually hurt the thumb last night and then aggravated it tonight on that airball 3 by Markkanen.

I have to admit I have no idea why Alford called a TO with 2 seconds left the last time so I can't really fault Miller for doing it tonight. I hope it motivates UCLA.

At least its not broken. My understanding is when he first went to the bench they thought he'd broken it. Apparently hurt it in the USC game and then had the fluke play last night misjudging an airball. Xrays say no fracture so that's good.

I still think Oregon, UCLA and ARizona are all good enough to get to the final 4. Not saying all 3 will or even 2 but any of those 3 are good enough to get there IMO.

Dude, it's been a long time since I heard Bill Walton do a basketball game, so I had forgotten how much I CANNOT STAND HIM.

Seriously, even Dave Pasche seems like he's ready to tell him to just ****, and that guy works with Wolfley. Walton is just this pompous old man who scoffs at everything anyone says and honestly he seems to detest the game of basketball in it's current form, so why have him do college games?

Seriously, sorry to encroach on the thread UofA fans, but Bill Walton is the worst. Good luck against Oregon!

I don't get the whole "what happens in the tournaments doesn't matter" thought process. Those are games. Games with more pressure. They count MORE for smaller schools who have to win their tourney to get in but they shouldn't matter for bigger schools?!? BAH that's stupid.

Sorry Jackson got suspended. You lost in the first round of your conference tourney. No #1 seed for you Kansas. In fact, if you don't make your conference championship (really I think you should have to win it, but I understand taking the whole season into account - which also means shouldn't we not count zona's loss to gonzaga bc Trier was suspended? Why does it factor in for KU's loss and not an earlier season loss?) you shouldn't be a #1. No whining. Win and get the #1. Lose and don't. Pretty simple.

Walton kinda goes in one ear and out the other for me. I don't love or hate him.

It's also been announced that Chris Boucher is out for the season with a torn ACL. Pretty brutal break for them.

Lauri and Dusan need to eat.
