Did we know the Cards were wrapping their dumb luxury experience around the corners of the field?

I’ll be real interested in how these seats sell.
Really went all out on the graphics.

That's the formula for this group to win a championship! Not Murray throwing for 5,000 yards!

It's not sexy but it controls the clock and keeps our defense fresh!

Vs PHI our defense was on the field for 20 out 60 minutes! Wow!

This is not factual

Murray throwing for 4k yards would be a good start.

Prove that it is not with facts. Running the ball effectively typically does use more time off of the clock than passing plays. (how much time is left on the clock) How many times have you seen 4-6 minute drives to end the game where nearly every play was a run down, taking as much time off of the clock as possible.

Sure, you can control the clock with a good passing game. However, this is the second time that you said that an effective running game the ball doesn't control the time of possession, without providing actual stats to back up your assertion.

Absolutely.

I’ve done this multiple times; look up the top rushing teams vs TOP and you’ll find little correlation.

You can't look at just the correlation between those two. You'd need to look the drives themselves. How many times pass vs run... Time left on the clock when passing and not etc.

There's a difference. Top offenses can usually run well because the defense is on its heels and ain't really sure what the hell is coming.

If you have a dominant run game. The defense knows damn well what's coming but they just can't stop it. You get 5 or 6 yards even against a stacked box. Over and over and over again.

There hasn't really been a dominant running game in the league for a minute. But with all the undersized linebacker around now we could see one..we could even be one since apparently our oline is focusing on increasing yards before contact.

Lamar Jackson's Ravens come to mind. Henry led Titans do too.

This is a vibes-based analysis. Show me the data.

Remind me, how many Super Bowls have Lamar Jackson's Ravens and Derek Henry's Titans won?

Ha! Good point daves! :)

Really kind of my overarching point in all of these recent discussions about our running game and our offense is that to reach our full offensive potential, we have to try to utilize murray's elite running ability.

Perhaps K9 is right that there's not a strong correlation between TOP and winning (or whatever was his point), although intuitively I would guess there's still some correlation between successfully running the ball and winning.

And I think making opposing defenses account for Murray as a potential runner and his actual production as a runner both have a lot of upside!

Anyway, hope you're excited for the upcoming season and that your summer is going great! :)

I think it's BETTER to be really good at running the football, because a good running game does wonders for the passing game if you have the players to take advantage of the better matchups.

Running games are beneficial when you have a lead late in the game therefore focus on having the lead late in the game is more important.

I do not care how that happens but I would think a balanced attack and more attention to making a blue zone a red one.
