As much as players want to win, they will take the same money with a team that has a chance and will feature them more.
Not rocket science is it. Especially when they were in touch a year ago and already half way towards a deal.

Bro the Cardinals have less established receivers. If the Cardinals threw the same money as the Chiefs, he would be crazy to go there. Every receiver except Hill and Kelce have put up subpar numbers. It's not crazy gymnastics, and it's not every player.
Chiefs tried to sign JuJu last off season before he took the one year Steelers deal. His career is down, he wants to rehab it with a winning team and the best QB in the league so he can get paid next year.
If you can;t see why that means JuJu was never an option on this contract then I don't know what to tell you. I'm sure he would have come for a 3 year deal that paid him $15m per but then we would be idiots.

Maybe...that's a stretch though. More likely, JuJu gets 700 yards and a 3 year, 21 million dollar deal. The Chiefs are perennial AFC title and Superbowl contenders. We have one bad playoff appearance in 6 years.
Chiefs are one of the most pass heavy teams in the league. Byron Pringle had 600 yards. He's gone. Robinson had 300. He's gone.
JuJu going to take both their yards and push 1000.
I would expect Josh Gordon to get cut.

With Hopkins and Rondale, he gets 1,000. And the last guy to get paid from this offense might make $20+ million per.
Your arguments are actually convincing me less that he would sign with the Chiefs over the Cardinals.
No dude. We paid Gardeck $12m over 3 years. That's $4m per year. Reddick wanted $15m per year.
Also Saffold has been trash the last 2 years. Bottom 5 pass block win rate in the league.
Less squats, more film roomxc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
. . . and more squatsMy guess is the plan is to draft WR’s and DL. :championship:
If he posted a 2 minute clip watching film would it really matter? We'd never know just how much he was watching.Less squats, more film room
Agreed. It’s like no player ever signed with a non-super bowl contender. It’s the combined responsibility of a GM, coach and owner to convince a player to come to their organization. One factor is money. Another factor is competitiveness. But there are so many others that factor in that to merely throw up your arms and say oh well it’s the chiefs and rams, nothing the cards could do is silly imo.I love how almost every player that has signed somewhere else for a marginal contract would have never came to AZ. Crazy gymnastics going on here.
Huh. Kind of makes you realize what players think about this calamity.Ok, but he would never of come here for that. I specifically wanted the Chiefs for the title shot, working with Mahomes and the reputation boost it would give him in contract negotiations next year. So that deal wasn't possible.
Same with Allen Robinson going to the Rams. Wanted the SB shot and multi year deal with a good QB in a system that should get him yards.
Actually, it would probably generate a 100 page thread on here. Your sarcasm fell sooo flat here.Yeah, that would be some really gripping social media content.
Why doesn't he post pictures of himself sleeping and brushing his teeth, too?

Categorically no.
Titans have been one and done the last 2 years. Teams that were nowhere near the playoffs last year are having no issues signing players.
If there was any external factor it would be having an immature QB that's agitating openly for a deal or he will hold out but I doubt its that either.
Its just Keim not wanting to overpay. Still waiting for the long list of FA deals we have missed out on.
So far its James Daniels which was my own suggestion and the unrealistic JuJu.
Kyler's IG account looks like every other QB's IG account. Patrick Mahomes' social media isn't filled with photos of himself watching film and going through footwork drills. Same for Joe Burrow and Aaron Rodgers. It's boring media content. They are promoting themselves and their brands, which is the purpose of social media. It's not to appease a bunch of people on message boards looking for clues on how they are improving their games.I'll settle for him working on his game on not on his quads.
I could show you videos or stories of QBs working on their game for most QBs over the years. It's early yet for this year but if it doesn't happen I'm going to be majorly disappointed in him again.
And yes, if it happens we know. There's no world where it happens in secret.
Right, because for a kid who is facing criticism for only working out physically, posting more physical workout vids is going to stop the criticism. Not message board criticism. National media criticism, across the board. But, yeah, it's just old folks whinging lolKyler's IG account looks like every other QB's IG account. Johnny Unitas isn't walking through the door with his above the ear haircut and commitment to going to bed before 9 pm. Times have changed. Athletes have changed.
Kyler has a lot of room for criticism, and there are aspects of his game that he absolutely needs to be working on, but some of these comments feel like older people getting mad at younger people for what they have become. And I say that as an older person.

Not really seeing the correlation. Whose asking for video of him studying film? Also nobody would care one iota about all the weight lifting videos if he himself didn’t come out and say that “I have a gift to see things before they happen” and “studying film isn’t high on my priority list” (paraphrasing) but the point is the point.Kyler's IG account looks like every other QB's IG account. I can't find a single national article slamming Kyler for not watching film. That doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist, but saying he is being criticized across the board from national media for it simply isn't true.Right, because for a kid who is facing criticism for only working out physically, posting more physical workout vids is going to stop the criticism. It’s a quote directly from Kyler himself and was linked on this board lolI can't find a single national article slamming Kyler for not watching film. That doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist, but saying he is being criticized across the board from national media for it simply isn't true.
Hey, I am frustrated with him, too. That INT in his own end zone was one of the dumbest plays I have ever seen. He needs to make a lot of improvements. Criticizing the guy for posting workout videos, which is done by every QB, just seems over the top to me, though. He can fill his IG with videos of himself throwing with Drew Brees like Russ Wilson did last year. Or getting coached by Jordan Palmer as Josh Allen did.
Do videos of his 3 squats, but the fact that's the only videos we get and none of him actually working on his game is telling.
And yes, I'm aware we're probably giving him a hard time, but then I'm still pissed at him for playing poorly down the stretch, playing one of the worse playoff games in history and then having the brass balls to demand a fat deal off the back of it.
