Multiple people in this thread said they would rather see video of him studying film.
If they did bro that was Tongue in cheek I’m sure nobody literally wants to watch anyone studying film. Lol…

It’s a quote directly from Kyler himself and was linked on this board lol
Oh, I've read the quote. It has been referred to here 50x a day. What I haven't seen are national media folks being nearly as fired up about it as people on message boards. Or fired up about it at all, really.

Kyler has done nothing to embrace love from the fan base. He dug his grave now it’s up to him to dig himself out.
It’s been a long time since such a key player has falling from grace the way Kyler has.
I don’t idolise players. If they’re great that’s awesome if they’re bozo’s then they can leave.
There are players I would never support. Brown and Vick are a couple of examples. Wouldn’t want them even if they could get us to the playoffs.
Kyler is going to have to play his sss off to win the love from a lot of us.

U must know all the Cardinals fans to generalize the fan base feelings toward k1

Actually it’s pretty clear. Just on this board alone it’s about 50/50 those enamored and those not convinced at all. When 50% or more of your fan base isn’t convinced it’s pretty obvious.

Actually is 50/50 on this forum
Checking other couple of sites related to Cardinals fans isn't so obvious

Kyler's IG account looks like every other QB's IG account. Patrick Mahomes' social media isn't filled with photos of himself watching film and going through footwork drills. Same for Joe Burrow and Aaron Rodgers. It's boring media content. They are promoting themselves and their brands, which is the purpose of social media. It's not to appease a bunch of people on message boards looking for clues on how they are improving their games.

Johnny Unitas isn't walking through the door with his above the ear haircut and commitment to going to bed before 9 pm. Times have changed. Athletes have changed.

Kyler has a lot of room for criticism, and there are aspects of his game that he absolutely needs to be working on, but some of these comments feel like older people getting mad at younger people for what they have become. And I say that as an older person.
Nah. I’m an older person. I have no problem with the cellphone breaks and the faze clan stuff. But having played even lower level college football I know what type of time you have to put in studying to be good. To be great you need ridiculous god given talent, luck and a TON of study - particularly the QB. So when I hear a young QB say he sees things before they happen and doesn’t kill himself in the film room and then stink up the joint like kyler did down the stretch in two straight seasons I recognize dangerous arrogance that I hope will mature out of him. If not we will be one of those clubs that visits the post season every 3 years or so and always disappoints.

TBF its been probably 50/50 regards to Kyler for a couple years now on this board.

I can agree with that and it’s Kylers job to win over the other 50 and he’s having a hard time doing it.

Eh I thinks lost supporters over the last year. I’m sure krang, cheese and I were all much more strongly in support of kyler coming into the season, for example.

Hey, I am frustrated with him, too. That INT in his own end zone was one of the dumbest plays I have ever seen. He needs to make a lot of improvements. Criticizing the guy for posting workout videos, which is done by every QB, just seems over the top to me, though.

Its not the existence of the workout videos as much as they highlight the lack of videos of him working on his game. We'll see.

Yup, what I need as evidence that KM is 'working on his game' is a shot of him in front of a whiteboard, sharpie in hand, looking pensively at the diagram of a play.

Come on. When polls are taken it’s not necessarily accurate. It’s always based on 3% either way.

The concession on this site seems to be leading toward my point. Watching national sports stations seems to be the same way.

I loved Kyler. I was behind him 110%. But he’s done more than a couple of things that have rubbed me ( and others) wrong. Can he redeem himself? Probably. But heading into this season he is not going to get the benefit of the doubt. The proof will be in the pudding…. Give or take 3%.

I'm still pro Kyler.

I think a kid as talented as he is has worked a ton to be as good as he is. But I think he needs to grow up. He's immature and thats what you see from his body language and his professed belief that he doesn't have to prepare like other people.

Any introspective adult quickly understands that preparation is a key ingredient in pretty much any field. I've tried to brief Colonels and Generals with subpar preparation in the past and the results were disastrous.

Let's just say if I'm a betting man, I'd bet a grand easy that Murray will have a successful career. But I doubt he ends up staying in Arizona. Unfortunately, I think Murray isn't a Cardinal 4 years from now, and he goes on to be a good player for awhile with another team. I think he grows up, because that generally happens.

And some of us on this board will point out that people were wrong here because that's what we do here LOL

I wasn’t saying you weren’t. I’m still pro kyler too. But I think both of us have more negative tastes in our mouths regarding his maturity and actions and play than we had last year at this time.

I'm pro Kyler if he gets his head right. If he does that, he has the chance to be something special, and become one of the all time greats. If he doesn't--and I don't have a lot of faith, after his reaction to his godawful ending to the season--he'll never amount to anything in the league but a few gaudy stats. So, no pressure, Kyler lol

I think the end of season collapse was 60% Kyler. He just failed to make some of the wow plays consistently.

He has to play better down the stretch. I think what a lot of people are missing, is that Michael was mad at Kyler. That's why we saw Kingsbury and Keim get extensions. Cardinals leadership very much believes what I do.

Yes even if i am a superfan of him since the pre draft i expect him to take the next step and there is a certain urgency
However the roster is in the bottom 10 in terms of talent
So he has never been put in a fair situation
If he doesn't play great we can't do anything

he has a share -- but i dont think its 60%. Im closer to 20%

there were throws in the last 7 weeks that he missed that earlier in the year he had made: AJ Green vs Rams at home for a TD. Same game he had Rondale Moore deep on a wheel route where the ball was a foot out out of bounds.

But what also happened during the last 7 weeks was Hop was out. The OL regressed significantly. The D went from top 5 to bottom 5.

the QB gets too much credit when things work / too much blame when they dont.

the reality is this: Kyler isnt at the stage in his development where he can put an offense on his back and win games consistently. That doesnt mean he isnt a top 10 QB.
