So he's gone after this season. Ugh, 2022 is looking bleak, but so is 2023. Good thing we have young WRs waiting to replace him. Andy, bubby, your time has come!
He has $18m dead money so he isn't going anywhere next year.

The Falcons scoff at that dead money amount...lolHe has $18m dead money so he isn't going anywhere next year.
Atlanta: Hold my beer!He has $18m dead money so he isn't going anywhere next year.
Not worth the effort. I know what I see on the running thread of NFL network. Not claiming EVERY Player however , the major reporters like Schecter and Pallisaro consistently leak info.
Do you not remember past years when we would hear the Cardinals are bringing in so and do on Tuesdsy and so and so in on Wednesday? Or was that just a figment of my imagination?
The obvious problem with that strategy is that the Cards only have three picks in the top 200, so it's unlikely you're going to find many quality young year-one contributors.Pretty much. There are only two realistic scenarios.
The FO have a list of players they are targeting who are still testing the market and so are not in any rush to accept the offer on the table. I don't think that's a list that contains big headline names. I think it's more along the lines of "We need to improve our depth because depth cost us last year" hence not blowing their was on a couple of star players. So looking more at players with upside who they think they can get below their true value. Players like Bryce Callahan or Kyle Fuller rather than Gilmore.
The 2nd option, but unlikely is that they are waiting until post draft. But that seems unlikely.
Either way it seems there is less emphasis on paying FA's and more focus on youth. Which is of course the right way to do it, if they can draft well. Which is a big if.
It's amazing that the front office may think that this team is going to be better in 2022 without Chandler Jones and Christian Kirk.
Hilarious. At the same time this board as spent the last 4 years saying Kirk was a JAG and all last year saying Chandler was garbage outside game 1.
Couldn't we convert the $19 million salary to bonus, add a couple voidable years and kick the can down the road like everyone else?So he's gone after this season. Ugh, 2022 is looking bleak, but so is 2023. Good thing we have young WRs waiting to replace him. Andy, bubby, your time has come!

Not this guy. Also, weren't you the guy saying a couple weeks ago that Kirk was a good #2?
Well if you're confident then I guess that's enough.I did. I also said today I'm confident Moore can replace him.
Hilarious.
Or people could say that Kirk is a decent slot receiver who struggled to be a #1, and can't play on the outside, so paying him 17M is crazy.
Chan didn't put up huge sack numbers, but he did create pressure and demand attention from the other team that no other pass rusher did.
Barring a major trade, we're likely to be worse at both critical positions. Yay!
Well if you're confident then I guess that's enough.
There's lots of balls to go around in this offense. I'm way WAY more concerned about the actual third-option WR who will play 80%+ of the snaps on the outside than I am on Moore. You see the problem with this argument right?
For years fans have complained we don't give rookies a shot. And now they complain we can't rely on them and need to sign vets.
If we sign an FA slot then Moore will certainly fail because the 10m guy will get priority.
Why? What gives you the confidence?I did. I also said today I'm confident Moore can replace him.

Looks like we signed a new starter at ILB!
You forgot his huge injury history! Why? What gives you the confidence?
Moore is the shortest wide receiver in the league with tiny hands, a limited catch radius and very little experience running a full route tree going back to Purdue. He is not the same kind of player as Kirk.
We're looking good there! Wait, this isn't golf rules?xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Keep chasing that rainbow Q.It's not a figment of your imagination it's generalizing and extrapolating anecdotal examples.

Somewhere…over the rainbow…..I explained it if you search
Sounds about right.NFL network power rankings have dropped the Cardinals to #17.
