Playoffs start this weekend with this series.
Indeed they do. DBacks need to split this four game series with the Brewers (they have clinched the NL Central but are still playing for home field throughout the playoffs), win two of three against the Giants, and win two of three against the Padres. That should be enough to sneak into the playoffs again this year.

Jeez it is Pfaadt tonight vs Meyers.

Key guys against Pfaadt. Really limited sample sizes but a couple guys to watch. Pfaadt really struggling against lefties now giving up an .800 OPS.

R - Adames 1-2 1 HR
L - Frelick 1-1 2B
L - Turang 1-1 2B

Myers 0.752 OPS vs lefties. Actually similar to Pfaadt in numbers, just better. We should load up on Lefties this game.

DH - Pederson rando 0-3 against him but I am still playing him.
C - Moreno Never faced
1B - Bell 1-4
2B - Marte 0-2
3B - Suarez 1-2
SS - Perdomo 1-2
LF - Carroll 0-2
CF - McCarthy 1-3
RF - Smith - 1-2

Probably something like this:

LF - Carroll
2B - Marte
1B - Bell
DH - Joc
CF - Smith
3B - Suarez
RF - McCarthy
SS - Perdomo
C - Moreno

This lineup if the try to bring in a lefty in that Bell / Joc / Smith area you can sub in Walker / Grichuck. Suarez in front of McCarthy limits the likelihood they put in lefty in front of Smith since Suarez mashes lefties. McCarthy / Perdomo combo adds some speed later and hopefully gives Moreno Carroll Marte some RBI chances.

If it is not Moreno in the lineup, I fully expect Turang to go crazy on the basepaths.

Braves are blowing out the Reds in a day game. DBacks better focus and hope we don't get PFFFFFFFFFTTTTT on the mound tonight like his last start.

Saving grace for this series is Milwaukee has already won their division. They may play a ton of call ups and rest some guys.

Let's hope so.

They may hold out some hope to pass either LA or Philly for better seeding, though
