It looks like 4 teams (San Diego, Arizona, NY, and Atlanta) will be vying for 3 WC slots in the NL. If the DBacks lose tonight, they will be 1/2 game up for the final WC slot. Time to kick in the afterburners, boyz!

Top of the third and the Diamondbacks are up 8-0. Pavin Smith has driven in 7 of the 8 runs with two homers. Let's hope they don't blow a big lead like the Cardinals did today.

Stop me if you've heard this one ..Dbacks pitcher is cruising along and then all hell breaks loose in the 4th or 5th inning.

Sac Fly brings in another run

No lead is safe with Dbacks pitching. Pavin is going to need 3 more HR

Why does Houston's ballpark sound like a minor league park? So hollow sounding. Is that weird?

Nelson with a 9 run lead and can't get out of the 5th...only with the Dbacks. Hahaha #sad

Verlander is perhaps the last pitcher with a chance of getting 300 wins. He will be 42 in February and is 40 away. He is just embarrassing himself and needs to retire with dignity.

Puk with a nice 1-2-3 inning.

See what happens, Torey, when you let him pitch to more than one batter?
