ASU's only hope is to win one of @UCLA or @UofA.. AND win the USC game... Judging by the way ASU goes, I can tell you exactly what is going to happen:

ASU will win on Wed. @UCLA

ASU will turn around and lose @USC

ASU will lose @UofA

ASU will win the first round of the PAC-12 tourney against Oregon St.

ASU will lose the second round game VS a motivated and fully healthy UCLA team

ASU will accept a bid to the "Not Invited Tournament"

Any questions?

The Season is completely and utterly on the line tonight..

Tourney hopes are on life support at the moment, a win tonight and our condition improves from "critical" to "serious"...

Lets go Devils! :sparky:

I'm actually hoping for you guys to get in. One I think you're better than other 'locks' such as Colorado but your OOC schedule is absolutely murdering you. Second it keeps Herb in Tempe for the foreseeable future who is absolutely no recruiting threat at all.

Man is Bachynski playing dirty tonight or what? He hit 3 different UCLA players in one sequence there before Powell bumped him and forced the refs to come in and break it up.

I get being big and trying to throw your weight around but he's throwing elbow and sticking legs out at guys like he thinks he's playing hockey.

parker is going to foul out but at least he's getting some good licks in on Bachynski now.

ASU played like their season was on the line tonight, but ultimately it just wasn't enough..

The effort was there (if only they had given this kind of effort vs Utah/Washington) Gordan going scoreless really hurt the Sun Devils, and Gilling forcing that step back three with :26 to go was ludicrous..

It was a good ride, it is safe to say they over achieved this year..

Hopefully they get some good experience and do well enough in the NIT to make it to Madison Square Garden for the finals..

Tough loss. We got absolutely nothing from the 2 spot. Colvin/Gordon/Barnes combined for 0 points. Bachynski should have also done better. UCLA was missing the better Wear twin and Bach only went for 10 points.

I thought UCLA was the best chance for us to get a win on this road trip. USC is playing decently now and they're a tougher matchup for us.

Yeah weird play I guess he forgot the clock reset, that was a terrible shot.

ASU played really well and UCLA did everything they could to lose the game, Bazz missing FTs, Drew became turnover Jesus again in the 2nd half officially with 7 I think he actually had 9.

UCLA basically won with 4 players, David Wear did nothing out there.

Yeah but the Adams/Shabazz/Anderson trio are all future top 20 picks. UCLA is going to be a scary matchup in the Tournament.

Not sure, right now Ford has Bazz 8th, Kyle out of the first round and Adams not on the map.

I love Adams and Kyle but not sure Jordan will ever be athletic enough to get drafted too high. Terrific player though, not just a shooter as most of us thought.

Kyle is amazing, he was playnig C in a 2-3 last night and guarded Bachynski, 15 boards. He needs one more year to get stronger and leaner but he's really good.

Bazz is good I'm just not that high on him, one dimensional selfish player.

I think Adams is a poor man's James Harden. Love that kid.

They'll all be top 20 picks assuming they go when they should. Obviously Bazz is top 5 this year.

Well he's not nearly as good off the dribble but yeah he has a knack of getting shots off.

The big surprise is he was supposed to be a zone buster and he's actually not shot that well from 3, but he is so good in the midrange and has a way of getting his shot off in practice.

Also really improving on defense. Needs another year of conditioning he lost a lot of weight this year but he basically just slimmed down more than got in great shape, the next step is get in great shape.

Good attitude too plays hard and a team guy.

Love he and Kyle. Bazz as I said he's good but he's so selfish it's really hard to like him sometimes.

With the season all but gone, the question is how will ASU respond these last two games?

Knowing their only hope is to win these next two games AND make a solid run in the PAC-12 tourney, what will they do...

Obviously a loss today and they will need to win the tourney to go dancing this year...

I am a sucker, I accept that, but heres to holding out hope that ASU can put together a run starting tonight to make this year truly special...

I think no matter what happens in their last two games, ASU is going to have to win the Pac-12 tournament to get in. Their weak non-conference schedule once again killed them.

Based on the first half the point is moot.. The Devils show a little life the past 3 minutes, but the first 15 minutes I think the ASU basketball program reached a new level of futility.. It was almost comical..

with 4:37 remaining in the half they were 3-17 with 9 TO and 7 points...

They put together a mini run at the end of the half, but it is going to take a monumental effort to pull this one out...

The effort was there for the last 25 minutes of the game...

But again the story of the Sun Devils season, too little too late..

Game over, season over.. Officially..

Had to mute the game..

Whoever is announcing this game clearly wants to blow the UofA program...

I don't know if they are grads or what, but it seriously sounds like a local UofA broadcast..

Every call that has gone against the Wildcats the announcers have acted like their first born was just shot...

So annoying..

This team plays hard but with no smarts. Just making dumb fouls, turnovers, etc.

Great win, but they will be gassed for tomorrow.

Let's hope so :D

ASU is the worst matchup in the conference for UCLA. Admittedly Travis missed both games but ASU pounded us once and took us to OT the other time.

We can't guard Carson, ASU is huge inside, and Felix seems to really matchup well with Bazz.
