we will be down to 10 people on our roster. that is
Leandro Barbosa
Zarko Cabarkapa
Howard Eisley
Casey Jacobsen
Joe Johnson
Maciej Lampe
Shawn Marion
Amare Stoudemire
Jake Voskuhl
Jahidi White

the suns will have to put 2 of these guy up for the expantion draft for the bobcats. who should it be? i think i would go would go with howard eisley and maybe lampe or white and offer the bobcats a 1 rounder or 3 million to take eisley.

Maybe the Suns will protect less players than they are allowed to.

I doubt the Suns would mind losing White or Eisley for nothing but cap room.

Personally I wouldn't mind losing Jacobsen for the same reasons.

And Voshkul probably as well , although he is a decent role player and always tries hard. He just doesn't have a lot of talent and can't get a call to save his life.

Can you do that Slin? For some reason I thought you had to protect 8 players, or your entire roster if you have less than 8 under contract.

Looking at the current roster it seems like Howard Eiseley and Jahidi White are the obvious choices. However there is a damn good chance the roster won't look the same at the end of the season as it does today. Also, perhaps if the Phoenix Suns don't think there is a chance the bobcats will take someone like Howard Eiseley maybe they would offer someone like Casey Jacobsen that they would be happy to part with.

I'm not a huge Jake Voskuhl supporter, especially as a starting center, but he's a bargain at his current pay. I don't think there's any way they will leave him unprotected.

White and Eisley have the biggest contracts. I'm guessing that the Suns might want to bribe the Bobcats to take Eisley with one of the conditional firsts to get out of his contract. They might take White on their own since they will not get many useful inside guys with only one year on the contract.

The list at the end of the season will probably not look like this one..... but, if it did, then it would have to be Eisley and White, even though I would like to see CJ find a new home. I am really tired of his headless chicken preformances and we really, really, really NEED a REAL "shooter".
