Just some thoughts on comments on this thread:

1. Lopez is longer and stronger, but not faster than Gortat.
2. Dragic is a perfectly fine pg. His D makes him a perfectly acceptible replacement for Nash. I cannot see how anyone would be displeased with his play.
3. Right now, I take Markeiff over Scola as a starter. Keiff is showing flashes. Young players just need to develop consistency.
4. Scola is wasted on this team. Too bad we cannot trade him at the deadline. He could do well in San Antonio or Boston. I would be curious to see what his trade value is next summer.
5. Beasley is the definition of a knucklehead bball player. We should call him the "Scarecrow" ("If I "only had a brain")

You're right, I shouldn't have said faster. Before his injury, Robin was quicker off his feet. He also seemed to respond faster. End to end, Gortat is much faster although those guys rarely go full speed end to end.

Again, that you want to lay blame on Dragic and Gentry seems to imply that you think the rest of the roster is is being held back by these people. Do you honestly think we would be good if not for "Tragic"?

You've been so irrational in this thread that I cant help but think you havnt watched the games.
That is pretty funny coming from you Phraze, I guess I must have been really irrational, for the expert to call me out on it. :p

But seriously, I am not a Dragic fan like the main group here. I can kick it a bunch of different ways for yall, but I'm probably alone on this one. It's all good.

Actually, I thought Leander did a very good job despite his annoying catch phrases. I never joined the bash Tom club because his comments were accurate and timely - I've heard some bad announcers through the years. With league pass it seemed like I got the opponent broadcast team more often than not. Now, you usually have an option but that wasn't always the case.

Steve

Where is this option? I was looking to watch the Suns broadcast as I absolutely hate watching the LA homers, and could not figure it out.

I think I have a huge reputation for being a Nash fan but Dragic is superior to Nash at this stage during their careers. As a matter of fact, I don't think Dragic felt well last night (perhaps ill) but he turned it on defensely with some key steals and solidified the win. I don't think anyone could say Nash could give the Suns this boost with his defense. I miss you Steve and hope you come back to the Suns to retire but sometimes father time catches up. I believe Dragic is the real deal at PG and likely the best player on the Suns.

Also, the Suns would really be bad this season if they had kept Nash with his injury problems. I'm glad he is with a good team that can endure his absence. I hope he has something left in the tank because I would like to see him get a ring.

I liked Tom Leander doing Suns broadcasts especially considering the alternative is Steve Albert.

Sorry about that. I should have added Direct TV into the equation. They almost always have both broadcasts available for each game.

Yeah, I thought he really looked off out there. He didn't smile and didn't interact with teammates the same way he normally does. I hope he was feeling under the weather otherwise I'd be looking for other possible explanations and none of those would bode well for this team.

I noticed he did smile when he had some brief interactions with Morris. However, I thought Dragic looked flush in the face the entire game but I'm not a doctor so what do I know.

Dragic had only three FGAs during the first half. He didn't seem to be attacking as much as usual but he had six assists. I don't know how you could be unhappy with his play so far. Especially relative to his salary, which is only $7.5M and most on the team. My problems with him are small, he should be attacking more and shooting more. And of course PLAYING more and running more pick & rolls but that is up to Gentry.

We're not undefeated because we have one of the worst rosters in the NBA. Dragic and Gortat are the only 2 players on our team capable of contributing to a contender. And Dragic has been, by an absurd margin, the best player on the team. Unless you expect him to score 30 a game and magically know which bricking teammates to avoid giving the ball to then its hard to complain.

And Telfair has been our best reserve. Honestly, PG has been the most steady position on the team so far.

Probably the first time since I joined ASFN, that I actually agree with you. And of course, it's on Thanksgiving!

Yep, DirecTV League Pass usually has both broadcasts for every game.
