I love the Jimmy character.

Can't wait for next season.

the Jimmy character is the heart and soul of the show IMO and why I thought the middle of the season sagged when he was in Chicago and seemed on the periphery of the story. Once he got back to AC, the show started clicking on all cylinders. It's a slow burn, but they've set up what should be a really good season 2.

Jimmy's character seems a lot like Jesse in Breaking Bad. At first it seemed the writers really didn't know how to write him and because of that seemed like a guy I liked but could live without. Now he is instrumental to the story and almost seems, the way they set up season 2, he will be the co-main character.

I still have 5 episodes on the TIVO but every time we sit down to watch something, we always choose something else. I haven't disliked a single episode but there must be some reason we keep passing it by. I'm a guy so usually just the possibility of nudity is enough to keep my attention but I've seen more action in the DMV lines. Great sets, great characters, great acting but would someone please tell them it's actually okay to do something every now and then.

You just described my thoughts exactly 100%..They were building up on my tivo and just sitting there because I would inevitably choose something else every stinking time. It is just incredibly boring even with all the great stuff you described.

I live this show but the season finale was a bit of a let down.

You just described why I dumped Breaking Bad in the middle of season 2.

Blasphemy. Breaking Bad is just plain awesome.

I only watched a couple of episodes. I thought it was very well done but it isn't everyone's cup of tea. As a matter of fact, it probably isn't anyone's cup of tea that would actually say something like "it isn't everyone's cup of tea".

In watching the 1st season and part of the 2nd, I recognized it as an outstanding show. But like someone was mentioning about another show in this thread, I kept seeing it on my DVR and kept passing over it for other shows. After the rest of the season had backed up and I still wasn't watching it, I figured I just wasn't interested any more.

It is a very difficult show to watch back to back. I need the week in between shows just to decompress. It is so dark and you know nothing will end well. But it is so well made, all the actors are great, and the writing is fantastic that, to me, it is a show you can't miss. But to each his own.

agreed. can't imagine powering through an entire season in a short span.

best show on TV. Two episodes this season had the greatest ending line, jaw-droppers I've ever seen: "IFT" and "Run."

The show's greatest strength is it's simplicity, economy of words, if you will. It doesn't try to be really clever with it's dialogue and create people who speak as if they're written by someone who really knows how to craft an elegant sentence or phrase. It's just straight forward and raw.

I'm about 4 episodes in--just started watching last night. It's a beautifully shot show and the acting is terrific, but the story drags at times for me.

I don't know that they've developed a real sense of direction for the show, yet. There's no over-arching threat (I get the sense that the Buscemi et al are under no real threat from the feds--that they're mostly in control of the situation). Maybe that's more established later, but I think the show would benefit from something like that...it would give it more direction.

eh. I watched a couple more episodes, but just wasn't compelled to keep watching. And now that the summer shows are starting up, I probably won't be...maybe ever.

Gotta get to the final four episodes IMO. It's not Game of Thrones.... But it was a slow burn in the same way.

After the last 2 episodes.... I couldn't wait for next season.

I kind of thought it's out to a slow start. I want to see more confrontation. Looks like that's where the next episode is going.
