is anyone still watching this? I only watch it when I'm literally bored to tears and want to be put to sleep. the show just seemingly has such little forward momentum at all times.

I do.... This season is going ok. I have never been bored by it, but I have given up hope that it will get as good as I think it should be.

Homeland and an improved Dexter keep me entertained with this being my #3 Sunday show.

Sunday nights is like a DVR nightmare with Football.

Picked up this past episode a little. I guess this next episode is it for the season. The preview was sure busy.

penultimate episode was GREAT. rest of the season has been a bore-a-thon.

I liked a few things.

Nucky's actress relationship. And his complete breakdown after the explosion.
Nucky's Brother coming back in to the fold.
Having a real bad guy.
Everything Margaret except for the hospital.
Nucky's southern friend in DC.
Loved Capones episode with his son. And the beatdown he gave.
Anything Chalky White/Omar gets to do.

I didn't like:
Any of the brothel crap.
Richard Harrow is a killer. Bring him back to that.
The fake Jimmy crap.
Hospital class.

Honestly, this has been the fastest moving of the first three seasons IMO. I liked it the best.

Last year, It was really disappointing. I think they screwed the Jimmy/Nucky civil war. This year, the war is much more gritty.

This season took off for me as soon as they introduced GYP. He has been an absolute psycho and I have been watching just to see how he will fly off his rocker in the next episode. Although, I will say that the character Owen was killed off in a crappy way. I mean they could not have found a better way to write off his character? It was almost as if they decided to write him off at the last minute and took a lazy way out. I hated it. Charlie Cox deserved a better exit from the show IMO.

Loved the way the season ended. Have a couple of stories that I wish were tied up, but the ending seemed fulfilling to me.

This was their best season IMO.

Ha...Gyp's man asking what the guy in the mask was all about. LOL. He owned them. I liked the last episode but to be honest, you know who deserved a more humiliating death IMO. Also, the events Nucky sent in motion with the other Mob bosses should be interesting.

that was a great season Finale. Wrapped up this season, while posing big questions for the future.

Second half of the season overall was actually pretty strong.

I wanted Richard to go kill people and they really gave me my monies worth!!!

I would have liked to see the former Agent Van Alden in Capone's posse or something else that tied up his angle a little better. Other than that...... I give it a solid B+ to A-.

Yeah Richard is a real assassin, great character. Loved his choice of weapons also.

I to was looking for more from the Agent Van Alden storyline. But the last couple of episodes have been excellent.

Agree with all the comments about Richard. It was great. Does anybody else though feel like Gyp's scene was little lackluster? I mean after all the psycho reactions, killing etc.....I kind of wanted something more there.

his death scene? if that's what you're referring to, I thought it was poetic justice that he was ultimately killed by one of his own, the way he treated them. and after a hail of bullets throughout the rest of the last two episodes, i liked the smaller moment.

Yes, that is what I was referring to. I didn't want a bigger death scene with flying bullets and I actually thought it was justice that one of his own guys did him in.

I guess I just wanted this death to be more humiliating because of all that he pulled. In fact, wasn't the guy that killed him the same guy that had his brother in law killed by Gyp a couple episodes prior? The fact that he said "sorry....it had to be done" was kind of blah.

I am nitpicking a great episode......just wanted more I guess out of that one scene.

I liked the idea of his #1 man doing it. After he had to watch Gyp kill his sisters husband (I think?) on the beach with the shovel.

It made for a poetic moment IMO. Especially with him singing that song like a nutbag.

I think it was the same guy and I agree poetic justice. However, didn't is seem based on the dialogue that never came into play? He seemed sorry to do it and not pissed off at all over the killing of his relative.

FINALLY got around to giving this show a try. Love it. Definitely a slow burn but I don't mind. Getting ready to start season 2.

Alright, 2 episodes into season 3 and...ugh. There are ZERO likable characters so far aside from Harrow and Van Alden. Hoping their stories get more play as season 3 goes on.

I HATE where they took Nucky. His character was at its best when he was conflicted, trying to be "half a gangster." Seems like such a sudden change in his character.

Season 1 was a little slow, but developed the characters well. Season 2 was much more enjoyable IMO. Season 3 has been pretty average. Halfway through and I wish Harrow and Van Alden would get more time. (Although Harrow was featured a lot in the past episode.)

The Van Alden story looked like it was going to take off with the "I need you to dispose of a body" cliffhanger. Too bad they completely ignored it for the next 3 episodes.

Last season pissed me off. Any great episodes were tempered by some things that irked me.

First off the cheap off screen death of Owen after portraying him like a complete bad-ass since his introduction. Also, I said this before but I felt the way Gyp got his was well.....a complete....well....gyp. I wanted him to have a completely humiliating death after all he did. His death scene sucked.

If this season is anything like last, this might be my last.
