Apparently the Raiders and Titans might get involved in the Boldin swepstakes. Didn't hear specifics though, but one caller talked about a report of a 1st and a 2nd for Boldin.

Boy, if the Raiders offered that, you have to take it. Even with Boldin, they are a bottom-five team.

Absolutely after the season.

Not now. That trade does nothing but weaken us going into this season. Would be colossaly stupid.

A first and a second? Wouldn't that be unprecendented? I mean someone please tell me the last time a team got a first and a second for any player?

As I mentioned before, MJ said he had a list of 17 teams that contacted the Cardinals this week inquiring about a trade for Boldin. MJ stated that many teams were offering up a 1st round pick for him.

LOL, I was just listening to Sirius for a few hours, every other caller's question was :

"What do you think the chances (Enter random team name here) can sign Anquan Boldin?

Agreed remember this year that would have been McFadden and maybe Devin Thomas(washington picked him with Raiders pick) or Brandon Flowers(picked next).

Boldin's a terrific player but with his injury history and the contract issue I can't see even Al Davis giving a 1 and a 2 for him.

Might????

IF something is a might, then how is it a 1st and 2nd round pick?

Yeah I would have to consider that. I would take the picks and parlay them into some immediate players, because there is no way we would be able to pay two first rounders next year. Unless of course our pick was in the bottom third from our playoff run. :D

Zach Miller and a 1st for Pope and Boldin. I'd even take Zach Miller and a 2nd. That would solve our TE issue permanently and add another threat to the passing game. Should have drafted him anyway.

Joey Galloway = 2 first rounders

:yeahthat:

The only problem with that is DAL was desperate to get a WR to pair with Ismail. I dont think any current team is that desperate.

Boldin v Galloway is interesting though, as Boldin has as many seasons and Galloway did in SEA.

Here the breakdown;

Code:
Receiving	Receiving	Receiving	Receiving	Receiving	Receiving
G	GS	Rec	Yds	Y/R	TD	R/G	Y/G	YScm	Fmb
71	67	283	4457	16	37	4.0	63	4835	5
68	66	413	5458	13	29	6.1	80	5588	9

If I was the Cardinals a 1st and a 2nd is a huge get for them. But I would ask the Raiders if they would mind if we waited on the deal until we see a little more of Breaston and Doucet in the Preseason games #3 and #4. Then maybe make the hard decision after having more information.

I would have to think that if we did any trade right now another "seasoned" WR would have to be part of the deal.

Vincent Jackson, Currey, or Crayton come to mind.

The caller spoke about a report he read about the Raiders offering a 1st and maybe even a 2nd. He said that he thought that it would be a mid first rounder if accepted.

They also talked about how the Eagles have priced Lito Sheppard so high, that it would take a 1st or an Anquan Boldin-type player to get him.

Well the pick depends on how the Raiders finish so the caller must know something if he knows they'll have a mid first round pick?

THey look better this year but russell is really young and really raw I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them really struggle again this season.

Boldin is not the typical Raider WR acquisition either. It's no secret Al Davis is fascinated by speed. But I could see them loving Anquan's attitude and production speed or no speed.

I could also see anquan not wanting any part of being a Raider.

The best part about this whole thread is that its based on "a caller." Who was it, Chuck from Tennessee driving a semi through Tuscaloosa?
