Their cognac is pretty damn good too.I drink their spiced rum like it is going out of style. It is downright delicious. Their whiskey and vodkas and bomb as well.
The tequila on the other hand....

I haven't tried it. Hennessy is one of my all time favorites. Is the flavor profile close to that? I bought some Grand Marnier when I was there on Sunday.Their cognac is pretty damn good too.
One does not simply shoot Mac 18!The night I was out with you and you ordered a round of shots and made me do that. McAllen 18? Even then I was like “wow this **** sucks. Can’t believe what they charge for this **** considering how it tastes.”
Or sip it. Lol just order bourbon insteadOne does not simply shoot Mac 18!

I have their cognac in my cabinet right now. I watched a YouTube video where some guy reviewed it and raved and said you’re getting a product that should be 120+ dollars a bottle for a 48.00 price point. So I tried it. It will continue to sit in my cabinet until I get a cognac drinker/visitor over to my house. LolTheir cognac is pretty damn good too.
Ha, definitely a sipper, and a good one at that. I like both scotch and bourbon, but my guess is you don't like the smoky/peaty.Or sip it. Lol just order bourbon instead

Yea maybe… many bourbons have a smoky taste. I have this in my cupboard right now and I actually like it. Very Smokey. But of course mesquite is diff than scotch Smokey.Ha, definitely a sipper, and a good one at that. I like both scotch and bourbon, but my guess is you don't like the smoky/peaty.
Yep, the smoke spectrum is wide and varied. A Mac is considerably less smoky than a Lagavulin - I wouldn't drink younger than 16 year Lagavulin, bc otherwise the smokiness just overwhelms the flavor for me.Yea maybe… many bourbons have a smoky taste. Hennessy is a bit smoother than Kirkland XO but Kirkland XO is at about 1/4 of the price and good enough for weekend drinking.I haven't tried it. Hennessy is one of my all time favorites. Is the flavor profile close to that? I bought some Grand Marnier when I was there on Sunday.
I have a bottle of this and it is truly amazing too:Hennessy is a bit smoother than Kirkland XO but Kirkland XO is at about 1/4 of the price and good enough for weekend drinking.
My favorite overall though is Bhakta 27/07. I actually picked up some bottles that mistakenly have some 50-year old Armagnac mixed in and it is so delicious. My brother-in-law knows the east coast distributor and pulled some of these select bottles.
I have a bottle of that that I haven't opened yet. Very happy that it has a smoky taste. I really like Johnny Walker because of the smoky taste. I have tried the red, black, green, gold, but not the blue.Yea maybe… many bourbons have a smoky taste. I have this in my cupboard right now and I actually like it. Very Smokey. I completely don't understand what you all are saying. But I want to.
I don't think it is bad at all. My go to is the black though and don't really buy the red.My condolences on the Red.
Start small...if you like it, keep learning more/trying.I completely don't understand what you all are saying. But I want to.
I have a hard time spending more than $50 a bottle on booze. Anything more than that and there is a law of diminishing returns.I have a bottle of this and it is truly amazing too:
Fernandez Brandy de Jerez | Unique vomFASS Spirits | Favorite
Aged using a traditional solera method so this brandy is always aging with much older brandy which delightfully brings the maple syrup notes to the front.www.vomfassusa.com
Interesting theory. What if the $100 is hands down better than the $50 bottle? I totally get finding value in booze, but if you're limiting yourself to items $50 or less, you're missing out on a whole different world.I have a hard time spending more than $50 a bottle on booze. I haven't found one. I also have the same theory about steaks for example.Interesting theory. What if the $100 is hands down better than the $50 bottle? I totally get finding value in booze, but if you're limiting yourself to items $50 or less, you're missing out on a whole different world.

Not a big fan of Maker's Mark. I do like Buffalo Trace.Well, I'm glad someone can enjoy it. Not for me at all. That and Maker's Mark are flavors I can't tolerate.
Interesting. You need to try yourself some Johnny Blue, it might change your mind.I haven't found one. I also have the same theory about steaks for example.
