I wonder how Stevie is liking KC right now. I know he took the money (and you can hardly blame him), but I bet he wishes he was still here :)

Does anybody know if Karlos Dansby is still in the NFL?

He has 6 receptions for 88 yards and no TD's through 3 games.

And Lee Evans and Braylon Edwards are hurt. Sometimes the guys getting paid just might know what they are doing.

We still need a WR 2 but it stands to reason there was slim pickings and getting somebody just to say you got somebody isn't really a plan at all.....

breaston's playing on a brand new team that's a disaster right now... and we have no legit #2 and he was at least solid for us at that position and knew the system. i'd say jury's out at this point.

Early Doucet with 10 catches for 175 yards and a TD.

That projects to 50 catches for 900 yards and 5 TDs.

If he is anywhere in that range, that is a legit #2 receiver.

Edit: Sorry bad stats first time

Why, so he could make the huge jump up to 1-2?

Money was, and should be the focus, not winning. Thats a very difficult thing for me to type, but players who arent great and wont get 5 or 6 major Fitz-like contracts, have a very limited amount of time to make as much money as possible. They usually have 1 shot at 1 large contract. It could be playing for an expansion team in Ukraine, if they pay the most and your not a primetime player, you take it.

Not sure if your joking or not. Of course he is, hes one of Miamis best players.

Not in Arizona. Those are #3 WR numbers. 50 catches?

In 2009 we had four guys with more receptions than that.

In 2008 our #2 WR had 89 receptions for 1038 yards and 11 TDs

In 2005 our #2 had 102 receptions for 1402 yards and 7 TDs.

Doucet better get busy is he wants to step into those shoes.

Yep. We need to quit running the ball so much so our WR's can get more catches in.;)

Remember the Cardinals have never been to the Super Bowl without having 3 WRs with over 1000 yards.

Which was Boldin, who only here and a few other teams would be a number 2 WR. Even though Early was drafted for his "Q" like qualities he will never fill those #81 shoes.

And that's what makes it so sad to see him playing in Baltimore.

But the Cards have usually had two good WRs

Fitz and Boldin, Boston and Sanders, Green and Tilley, Clark and Proehl, Randle and Conrad.

Funny thing about football. We all talk about Air Coryell and Mel Gray but Mel never had 50 receptions or a 1000 yards in a season in his entire career.

Hes had his big games and has proven his worth. Its about collecting that big paycheck now and securing his families future. Which is fine. He played lights out for peanuts for years. Thought I desperatley wish wed have kept him.

Roberts is working out real well as a #2..sarcasm/hes worthless
