There’s reports now that many NBA executives believe Colangelo had multiple RealGM accounts while he was with the Raptors.

Hopefully it is not BC that is doing this, because this does not look good.

Huh? I don't think Jerry has anything to do with it.

What don't you get, some of the numbers are linked to Jerry. So it doesn't look good for either of them. You can think Jerry isn't involved and he's probably not but that doesn't change how he's linked to this whole ordeal because of the phone numbers tied to the burner accounts. It appears some of the numbers belong to Bryan, some Jerry, and some to Jerry's wife.

There's a good chance that both Bryan and Jerry end up being pushed out of their roles with the Sixers. Jerry is linked to this also because he's the only reason that Bryan works there. If Jerry wasn't placed there by the league then Bryan wouldn't have been hired by the Sixers owner. The only way that Bryan has had the majority of his NBA jobs is Jerry opening the door for him.

When did it come out the numbers are connected to Jerry? Did I miss that?

I can't find it now but I could have sworn that someone posted here that one of the numbers belonged to Jerry with a link but I'm not seeing it now. The only thing with Jerry here I can find is the post by GatorAZ making the case for it belonging to Jerry. I also see the post by ColdPickleNachos about one of them belonging to Bryan's wife but I'm not able to find the link tying Jerry directly to this. I apologize, I misread something. Probably seeing "Colangelo" so often had my mind thinking Jerry instead of Bryan.

Okay. Good to know. Thank you for checking. This is how rumors grow unchecked.

Is there any connection to the account BC has admitted to and the accounts using the 91 phone#?

I expect BC will blame it on his wife, being a protective spouse. It would be curious if BC's admitted account followed or communicated with the others.

Even if it is BC's wife she would only be repeating the things she was being told by BC. This is an ugly mess. At least it makes for some modest entertainment during the annual GS/Cavs scrimmage.......

Which means they were Bryan’s. Let’s not be obtuse
Not being obtuse. When you look at the wording in the tweets, they look like a non native English speaker. Bryan's wife is from Italy. Would not be the first time a wife went on line propping up her husband. Maybe he posted on them too.

She is supposedly into basketball big time. She was a big DAntoni fan in Italy and was the one who really pushed Bryan to hire MDA.

Even if it is his wife, and even if she has her own opinions, she shared privileged information. And to try to keep Bryan on would be almost impossible. If my wife went online ripping my employees, I would have to resign. The relationship would be too strained.

Unless you offered something drastic like divorcing your wife to keep your job.

Who is to say that he didn’t have an account on ASFN from back in the days when he was the Suns GM?

The circumstantial evidence is overwhelming. There currently is no smoking gun, but it looks like an over 90% certainty it is BC.

I was never a fan of BC.
Nobody besides his dad and maybe his wife was ever fan of BC.

Agreed. Even if it is found out to be “his wife’s” phone it’s essentially his and I don’t believe he had no knowledge of it and wasn’t controlling its content.

This isn’t how the 76ers see it. They see it as his wife doing it with Colangelo not having any knowledge of her actions per this article.

Even if that were the case (and it's a specious argument at best imho), they need to move on from Colangelo.

Her tweets would almost have to be reflective of his beliefs on some level. Couples can disagree, but she would be speaking with a lot of detail (again...giving the benefit of the doubt that she was a rogue tweeter) that would have been picked up from private conversations with Bryan. At the very least, her thoughts are an indication of his biases. So in the best case scenario, you're still moving forward with a guy who has alienated your star center and your #1 draft pick, among other issues.

Also, he got virtually nothing for Noel and Okafor and, had a random fan who listens to mock drafts and stayed pat inherited that job instead of Bryan, the Sixers would have Jayson Tatum or Josh Jackson AND the Kings pick next year instead of a point guard whose reputation (thanks in part to Colangelo) is the only thing more broken than his jump shot.

I know, I know....Find a new slant. :)

If his wife did this without his knowledge then the only way I see him saving his reputation is to file for divorce.

Man I’m not buying that for a second. We’ve seen too many people in power do too many dumb things.

It is so obviously him, it's beyond ridiculous to argue otherwise.
You mean a wife has no opinion about basketball apart from her husband? All she is is her husbands robot? A woman cannot make comments about basketball even if she has been immersed in it her whole life. BC’s wife was the one who urged him to hire McD because she was a fan of his in Italy. The woman is a basketball super fan.

You guys are sounding pretty sexist actually. #metoo is coming. I am not a BC fan so I don’t care if he gets fired or not. But saying his wife could not have done this without his knowledge is really misogynistic.

That’s a whole lot of BS. You’re putting words in people’s mouths. This has ZERO to do with her gender. Friggin’ ridiculous accusation and frankly you should rescind that comment.

She has a number of these accounts. She’s hiding her identity. She’s related inside information. To not reach the conclusion that Bryan is SOMEHOW involved, or at a minimum should be held responsible for the destructive actions of his family is just purposefully blinding yourself.

This must be sarcasm right? Sexist? Seriously?

God, maybe claim racism instead since she’s Italian or something.

He's gone.

Talk about blowing the cushiest job, if embiid is healthy years and years as a contender, was a great chance for the colangelos to finally win a nba title.
