Figures. I think we will see a lot of action before and after the draft this year. The Pistons winning gives teams hopes that they can make moves and win now. Before it looked impossible to beat LA. Now it's wide open to the GMs and Owners! :)

Might as well have patience. There's no games scheduled tomorrow to watch. I'm waiting to see just what this off season brings us. The moves so far have been unconventional. This intrigues me to see what they are planning. :)

he's calling the shots for 3 more years until he gets the rest of his money. You know that and so does everybody on this board.

Chris Sanders, is this the guy that you said was going to come on the message board and get rid of all of the negativity? :)

I don't visit here often, because my criticism of the Colangelos is often ridiculed.

This isn't about CAP space, it's about the bottom line. Has been ever since Jerry got the D'baks.

The Suns and D'baks have sweetheart stadium deals and are both losing money. Pray the Colangelos get out of Phoenix sports fast.

I love the Suns. Had season tickets for years. But the owners have sold us out. I told you this cheese, two years ago and you ripped me up. You now have the evidence.

wow Skkorp - calling me out huh? good memory - Well guess what - if they don't do something out of this world this offseason - I'll be in complete agreement with you - my head is spinning right now.

From my understanding, the former ownership stands to make approximately 30-40 million more in bonuses based on team performance. Records, not bottom line.

The Sarver group put that part in, and in return, they will not pay any interest on the remaining sum of the deal.

If anything, Colangelo will make MORE money by trying to be as competitive as possible.

I think it has more to do with the fact that the draft is now not as exciting as it was an hour ago.

For sure. I don't really care about not having the pick, as long as it doesnt hinder other deals. I would have been upset about moving down in the first round, since I definitely dont like many people in the middle of the draft, and wouldnt want to commit money to them.

I am kind of upset the draft tomorrow won't have as much flair without the suns involved

It is not the deal that upsets me.

It is more that "suns sources" are quoted saying they are in no discussions for TMac right now.

Well again there is 25989 posts to read but with this trade, is Drafting Martynas Andriuskevicius likely next year? (spelling)

Maybe. But dont forget, after Pavel pulled out last year, people were claiming he would go top 2 or 3 for sure.

Next year Marty will have lost his edge. He won't be the new hot unknown player. So he better do some nice things between this draft and next.

problem is chicago's pick is top 3 protected, and he'll probably be a top 3 pick.

I guess I'm the optimist. Could there possibly be a quality player at #31 that has some potential?

I definitely think someone of interest will drop that far. It has happened every year for the past 3 or 4 drafts.

But I find it hard to believe that Phoenix is now withdrawing or out of the mix because they traded a #7 pick in a shallow draft for a likely top 7 pick in next years draft after they were rumored to be in the lead for TMac just an hour ago or so.

Marion, Johnson and a 2005 top 7 pick looks just about as good to me. If Orlando takes that it got a little better for Phoenix since we get cash and #31 as well instead of trading Marion, Johnson and #7 for TMac.

Maybe Phoenix was just sweetening the pot for themselves a little instead of completely bowing down already and giving up Marion, Johnson and #7 which many people consider maybe even too much.

The Arizona Sports report just had Gambo on and he confirmed that the Suns had completed this trade.

If that's true is crap. How do trade a #7 pick now for a PROTECTED pick. Sorry Bryan, but you got raped on this one.

I don't usually use language this strong.

Round two on this. At this point, I would highly doubt Marty goes top three in the next draft unless he does something big in Europe.

because they also got the second pick in the second round this year. They are trying to clear every dime for free agency. The draft pick is protected but only in the top three. It's not like it's protected in the lottery.
