The Panthers were caught in what I have been saying since S.B. were fairly young. The first time a team gets to the S.B. they are so excited and enjoying it so much, they don't play their best game. Nearly all teams, with very few exceptions, lose their first S.B. before winning one. I am talking about the players that make up the team, not the franchise. Panthers were young and were just too caught up with getting to the S.B. Next time, if there is one, they will be more focused on simply winning. I think their blow out of the Cards didn't help them in any way either. Just magnified their greatness in their own heads.

Force him to throw the football was the game plan obviously coming from an interview of a Bronco's player right next to him.

Given that setup I can't blame him and watching that I would of walked off too.

They could of separated the interviews there was no need for that.

Thx for clearing up.

But that's hogwash if he was offended by that. That should be every teams outlook given when that running game is going they're even tougher to stop.

If he was truly offended by that he is the tin man & cowardly lion rolled into one. Ohhhh poor baby

Can rubbed his arrogance in peeps & teams faces all year! Grow up dude!

The post game set up for interviews was bad. But there were other Panthers who sat there and answered questions under the same circumstances. I'm not aware of any of them walking out.

Hundreds of men have had to face the press after losing the Super Bowl. How many have walked out because they couldn't suck it up and deal with it?

Exactly, the grasping at straws to make excuses for Cam is at a comical level right now.

The fact that his defenders cant just say; "Cam acted like a child last night, gotta be better."

Nope, gotta throw race out there, again, and make excuses for him. Herm Edwards on ESPN was a perfect example.

"I dont wanna make excuses for Cam, but here is a 10 minute rant of excuses for Cam..."

Peoples perceived racism towards his ethnicity had absolutely no bearing on him acting like a total child yesterday and the fact that people cant deal with it doesn't make everyone else a racist hater, it makes Cam a spoiled brat who cant handle adversity and his defenders just as immature.

The guy is really good, but he needs to man up. End of story! Or maybe not, maybe I'm just a racist. :p

Watch it again he holds himself up by his arms instead of just falling on it then he feebly reaches for it.

I don't think I have to draw a picture but apparently I do.

Cam jumps away, but I don't think there's anything weird about Ryan Kalil #67. When he's landing, he's coming down with his knees on top of Ware. Malik Jackson lands on top of him (and then Panthers #79 Chris Scott) on top of them. I think he's trying to throw himself on the ball, but a moving Ware underneath him makes him brace himself reflexively as he comes down. Then he gets piled on. That's what I see, anyway.

Here is the bottom line with cam as I see it.

If he is going to celebrate the way he does when he wins then he better man up when he loses.

On the flip side I don't have a problem with him not wanting to deal with the loss and even walking out of the post game interview but don't jump in front of the cameras when you win.

This was sent from my cell pjone so please excise any typeos or other errors.

I was pulling for the Broncos and the first thing that flashed through my mind when he jumped away was, "Oh crap, he knows it's going to ruled an incomplete pass!" I was glad when he dove back into the fray, indicating he wasn't sure of it.

Is Cam hearing an opposing player state what their game plan was to win and it involved making Cam throw the ball from the pocket worse then him doing is Dap and Superman and other celebratory crap. It's all fun dishing it out but can't handle it when the roles are reversed.

My 8 year old grandson handles losing better than Cam.

The criticism of Cam seems a bit over the top in league that has numerous players who beat women, abuse drugs and tangle with cops.

Keep perspective people. His emotions got the better of him but it's not like he beat his old lady or killed a dog.

Of course. He dabbled in criminality in his time, but not on the level of others in the NFL. No, Cam's just reaping the whirlwind here--he's acted like a complete unsporstmanlike jackass in victory, and a whiny baby in defeat. He's acting like the people he mocked for reacting negatively to HIS OWN antics. Too bad there ain't no band-aids for feelings, Cam :biglaugh:

His reaction was pretty much what I expected it to be if they lost. I mean, what else was there to expect?

I'm pretty sure I know what it would have been had they won.

Yeah, he brought it on himself, but it says something that this thread has over 160 posts, and even bigger thread that got moved to P&R board, but LeSean McCoy gets involved in a fight with Philly police and there isn't even one post on that incident.

I know which one I think is a bigger deal, but I guess McCoy's behavior is not as flashy and it's a pretty hipster thing to do to bag on Newton right now.

Because this is the day after the Super Bowl, Mr. Cam-pologist. Really? People bagging on Newton are hipsters? :biglaugh:

Nice try!

Yes, McCoy should be suspended and thrown in jail, pending full details of the case. In this thread, in reaction to the Super Bowl, we are discussing how much of a whiny little child Cam Newton is. But, hey, feel free to insult people who think so, like you already did lol

Cam brought the negativity on himself with his actions all season & the after Super Bowl incidence just added gas to the fire. He has nobody to blame but himself.

McCoy will most likely see some jail time & league issues if that report is true.

Hey, great job taking my posts the wrong way! :biglaugh:

Cam is a baby in terms of maturity, I guess it's a big deal to a lot of people. It's not to me, that's all.

Yep, Cam sure did bring it all on himself. I think it's over the top, but that is our society now... This is as about as important to the world as Miley Cyrus twerking.

I dont get how you think he took your post the wrong way. You were saying that it's lame to bag on Cam when there are bigger transgressions that have happened but we're not talking about that because we want to be hip. Right? But not you, you are wise and mature for coming in here and setting us all straight for talking about it in this thread, the thread that you yourself have contributed several posts to.

Mccoy is not the league MVP and his arrest is not constantly on ESPN and most importantly, Shady didn't commit his offense on a worldwide stage.

I find it sad that the Cam apologists cant defend him without insulting people. Most people just want to talk about Cam, while others just want to insult people who dont like Cam and call them whiney Women, and hipsters, and small minded for caring about such trivial things. It is really interesting what a polarizing figure this guy has become. That's honestly what keeps me coming back to this thread. Every few pages there is a Cam defender that jumps in here guns blazing, hurling out sick burns to anyone who dares to "hate on Cam." It's totally fascinating.

But the thing to remember is, he's not a victim. It is 100% self inflicted on Cam because he loves attention. If he didn't love attention, he wouldn't constantly demand it. Life has it's ups and downs Cam, you have 2 options, tone down your antics and just play football, or get thicker skin. Your choice.

Two WAY different creatures. Yes they both celebrate on the field and draw attention to themselves. But can wins and Manziel doesn't. Cams never had drug or booze issues mar his professional career. Hasn't had run-ins with the law and been seen partying mid-week mid-season like manziel. To compare them is just asinine. And just shows your bias against cam.

Look, I'm coming off as an apologist for cam. I'm not. I couldn't believe he didn't dive in the ball. Immediately thought it was potentially a career-defining moment (until he doesn't something more career-defining). And I don't buy into the whole "he's too passionate and cares too much" excuses writers are making for his post-game antics (everyone has emotions. Adults know how to control them and be professionals). But I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't take him in a minute. And I think most of you would too if you were honest with yourselves. And most importantly, I think BASK would snatch him up if possible without even thinking. He's a great player. Likely going to become better. He needs to grow up. Last night was putrid. But lord knows as cardinals fans we've seen putrid before.

OK, then let's throw in Tim Tebow. Here is a guy who has done nothing wrong in his entire life and yet the hatred for him on these boards and others is astounding and 100 times worse than Newton has ever gotten and none of it has to do with Tebow's skill level, or lack thereof. In fact, I'm confused as to the level of hatred Tebow gets on any level. He's never broken the law, isn't a drug abuser or drinker, never acted like an ass in public. Stranger is that he's mocked because he doesn't believe in pre-marital sex. In short, Newton is getting heat now but he's never gotten Tebow heat.

As for Newton, it isn't the fact that he lost, looked horrible in doing so, "for who, for what'd" a fumble, etc. The reason why he's getting so much heat is because in victory he goes out of his way to make sure the light is shone directly on himself and only himself. The Superman gesture and t-shirt wearing, the dancing, bowing, and dabbing on TD's, and when it comes to us, the way he and his teammates rubbed our noses in it when they beat us 2 weeks ago(taking team celebratory photos when the game was still in progress, etc) but in defeat he turns into a skulking little cry baby from his on field bitching at the officials to his one word answers then getting up and walking off the podium press conference. If he would have come out and been humble, congratulated his opponent, and essentially took it like a man he wouldn't be getting near the heat he's getting now. He came off as a straight up poor sport and this is going to follow him for the rest of his career. He better hopes he wins a title because this is going to get thrown in his face until that happens.

I don't believe that anyone on this board necessarily hates him because he is black, but it is quite naive to assume that he doesn't at least get some hate because of his race. After all there are still plenty of racist people out there and just because they aren't in your circles doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

And this racism is a one way street I assume? Oh, and I'm such a racist that I adopted a black child.

All Bread and circuses in my opinion.

In my opinion they are more like actors playing a part and some aren't very good actors which is how this will eventually fall apart but again that's just my opinion.

Later.

To be clear, you're claiming the fix was in? That the game was rigged?
