He can execute a 2 min drive here and there. He had this season. Just not with consistency.
He can do it early in the seasons… he’s yet to prove that when pressure’s really on with playoffs at stake in the second half of seasons.

Kyler just doesn’t have the deep ball anymore. He’s progressed well on the short and intermediate stuff but without downfield pressure it’s tough to win in 2024.

Its so weird as the first three years of his career he had arguably the best deep ball in the league.

Petzing doesn’t have the deep ball in his arsenal at all.

The WR is not a focus of his offense at all. It is a jumbo offense that emphasizes the run and tightend hence why there are 3 of them on the field most of the time.

Kyler’s career has followed the path of a Latin American baseball prospect who the team thought was 17 but was actually 23. Kyler should be entering his prime but instead has lost his deep ball and only wants to run when he has to. He plays like he is 30.

Cards are all out of mulligans and Dec football is here to separate pretenders from contenders. 4 out of 5 wins likely needed with Seattle next week a must win. The next 3 games could be considered must wins as well cause this team realistically not sweeping Rams and 49ers.

We’re not contenders even if we win the division & make the playoffs lol.

Being honest, the only contenders in the NFC this year are Detroit & Philly. Maybe Green Bay as well.

Going up 6 is dumb when u weigh that u are giving the opponent 4 downs every time to get first downs, and if u score the TD from 5 yards it’s game over!!!

And if you don't score from the 4 they have just over 3 minutes and have to go 96 yards or so to beat you. I was still mad about the obvious offsides they called on Reiman but yeah Gannon choked on that one. You HAVE to go there, if you score you win, if you don't score they have to go 96 yards to beat you.

This.

That incorrectly called penalty, change the entire outcome of the game

Exactly. I went back to bed for an hour then we had a power outage and it just came back on so I haven't had time to look at anything.

But if they call that offsides it's first and goal from the 2 1/2 yard line. Just over 3 minutes so we have 4 plays from the 2. I think Connner was out hurt at that point so it's probably Benson and Kyler in the backfield but with 4 plays from there we're going to run and they're either going to stop us and use a timeout so they have less timeouts, or we're going to score. If we score a TD we win, if we don't score they have to go nearly the whole field to beat us with less than 3 timeouts, or a FG is OT.

The grounding was a dumb play by Kyler but it only happened because of the bad call, we wouldn't have been throwing the ball if not for that call.

I would also argue on the Vikings go ahead drive on the downs where they converted on 4th and 7, the 2nd down play was grounding by Darnold. They said he was outside the box but what they meant was the hash except they snapped the ball from nearly the right hash so that's NOT the box, I don't think he was outside the box. They never showed the replay but it was pretty clear from Olson hesitating so much when saying "I think he was outside" that he was thnking the same thing that should have been grounding.

Just so mad, we should have won this game, Kylers first INT was a kiler it gave them 3 points when a punt could have pinned them. The grounding was a killer but again shouldn't have happened. But in the end, if Gannon goes for it on 4th down and we lose I'm not nearly as mad as I am now.

Kicking FGs on the road against good teams insures your lose.

Agreed. Petzig seemed to stick to his gameplan all game. Generated 6 scoring opportunities. Tough to argue with that. Can grouse about going too conservative in red zone, but that’s also who he is and maybe he doesn’t trust kyler enough to do more.

This is what trying too hard looks like.

9-6 team went to a Super Bowl. Get in the playoffs because you never know.
We were 9-7 and we had Warner, Fitz, Boldin etc. Kurt was one of a kind. He was undrafted, he was stocking shelves at a grocery store. Got a chance to play and went to 3 Super Bowls and left the field ahead in all 3 games.

@joshweinfuss

Kyler Murray’s wasn't completely down on the entire offense today. "I thought the plan was great. I think we almost had 400 total yards of offense," he said. '"I thought we moved the ball well. Again, it just comes down to, I feel like, not scoring touchdowns, getting down there, kicking field goals again and the penalties bite us. It's bad football."The Cardinals finished with 406 yards of offense.

And warner was a washed out QB when we grabbed him. Didn’t even start the season.

So, let’s keep the perspective grounded when talking about his greatness with the Cardinals.
