Well I am just about to throw this season in the toilet.

It seems that Denny is purging the team...which will pay off in the long run...but will make it very difficult for us to field a competitive team.

The problem is Kendall helped contribute to the 4 wins while most of the team around him contributed to the 12 losses.

It's looking like top 5 pick again next year. I guess it doesn't really matter if we get our top 3 picks in on time this year.

big deal - Pete Kendall as the GREAT LINEMEN was a myth propogated by Mac and the Media. He was a decent player when we signed him and never made it through an entire season. And considering how horrendous the line has been for the last four years - no one's job should be safe. At least we won't go into this season thinking that this line could be dominant if just "this or that happens" considering that both "this" and "that" NEVER DID.

Now if he cut Dexter Jackson - that would something to be pissed about. I'm more worried about our draft picks - everyone in the top 8 have been signed except the QB who's trying to get number 1 money (doesn't seem quite right), the a-hole TE who's ego is bigger than Buddy Ryan and DG's combined and Fitz - the good guy. I wonder what the hold up with Fitz is? Something tells me it's business as usual - but he's got a half week to be gotten into camp before I get upset about it.

The 2nd and 3rd rounders should be signed though - that is ridiculous.

Come on guys its not like we've had a top notch line since he has been here. Maybe he is a locker room cancer? I always thought he was one tuff and gritty sob but its not like the line has ever really gelled together. He was on bad Seattle teams and bad Cardinal teams. Maybe he was part of the problem? He came to AZ for the cash.

Didn't he particpate in most of the off season camps? I don't remember him being injured for that...I may have missed something, though, because we had several people out. In any case, I can't see him failing a physical today...something must've been brewing for awhile to have this happen. :nono: :moon: :thumbdown

Being able to participate in OTA's and being able to hold up in a 16 game season in full pads, at full contact is 2 different things when it comes to neck injuries.

jeez Chris - why do you bother coming here at all? I mean don't you ever have anything positive to say whatsoever? :D

You're right about the long run thing though and ultimately that's all I care about - this team has tried to stick bandaids on a gusher for too long - one more season of learning on the job won't hurt and I guarantee you this team won't be losing games and insuring me 500 dollar winnings in Vegas for betting against them in road games - man did that suck last year. I actually made my living off the Cardinals for a month while unemployed in December - simply by betting almost everything I had against them in the 49ers game and then rolling that over into the Seattle game - but man the Seattle game was close. I wanted to kill that fan who ran on the field stopping the clock with like 20 seconds left and us with no timeouts down by 18 - that was a very close one!

i remeber hearing an interview from him (kendall) towards the end of the year last year about his stingers.

he said that he is in constant pain and a degree of numbness. when he's playing he saID IT IS JUST A MATTER OF TIME WHEN HE GETS HIT AND LOSES ALL FEELING (sorry 'bout cap lock) in an arm. he said it usually lasts a second or so before feeling is regained.

But a couple times last year the total numbness lasted for days.

imo, i think he's going to retire.

this is so ****ing crazy and stupid its unbeleivable why cut one of our best O-linemen. I dont see Green doing it unless there was a reason behind it, and then maybe MAYBE i would understand, but why not cut someone who hasnt shown anything, pete was our best O-Linemen

If no one discovers the reasoning behind this before 9:30 tonight, Gayle Jansen of Fox10 news is going to be doing a sit down with Green. I'm sure she'll ask him about Kendalls release.

Gentlemen, let's just all settle down and see what kind of explanation we get tomorrow. It doesn't do any good to get your dander up before you know why you are doing it. D. Green has a long term contract and there will be plenty of time to string him up at a future date.

I cant but wonder if this isnt a continuation of the issue RE the complaints filed with the league and that Green saved this move for the start of camp to make a point that NO ONES job is safe.
What this team lacks more than talent is motivation, and I sincerly doubt this will be the last surprise of camp. What will be more interesting than who is let go is whom he brings in to replace them.

Hang on its gonna be a wild ride!

I'll be watching, as I assume many shocked Card fans will...

Word. Kendall has missed 11 games the last three years. His engine is running on fumes. I have no problem with letting him go. It's not like we were a Super Bowl contender with him anyway.

It makes me laugh that people are all ready throwing in the towel and Training Camp hasn't even started yet. I guess having Mac and his status quo every week was better.
