Ken, I realize I do come off that way sometimes. All I can say is its never any conscious attempt to think I'm better than anyone else.
When I give an opinion, and post something here, I expect others to challenge my position if they see fit. I am never defensive about that. I try to not post something if I don't feel strongly enough about it to take a position. If someone presents me with something that shows me "a better way", hey I'm all for that. I also expect the same from others. That's why I often challenge others when they make statements "I" question. It's not a personal attack on them, but if they make a statement, and are adament about it, then I expect them to be able to substantiate or give reasons why they feel or think the way they do....just as I again expect other to do with me.
I don't HAVE to be right, but I try to be, and expect it out of myself. Why would I want to be any other way?
To me, if you don't have the courage of your own convictions, then what do you have?
Contrary to what some may believe, I'm not afraid of being wrong. Case in point.....I keep saying Michael Stone will have a breakout season. I've said since he was drafted he could be good, and I have continued to believe that. If he doesn't this year, I will find no shame in admitting I was "wrong".
I will continue to always try and be as optomistic as possible. Anyone that wants to oppose me on that is certainly welcome...but they are fighting a losing battle.
