I don't believe in this stuff. In fact, I think it really is more often the opposite. I remember when we choked away that game to the unbeaten Bears on Monday night. And, next game, it was all this kind of talk about how we will slaughter a bad Raiders team. Instead, we actually played totally horribly and lifeless. Losing a game like that in that spectacular of an eff up leads to doubt and even anger in the lockerroom. I don't believe Eberflus is a dynamic type of a coach who can turn that into a positive.

If losing is so motivating in firing guys up to play better, then why is the Super Bowl Loser curse a thing? Which, once again looking at the Niners have done so far this year, it is holding true again.

I don't know if we will win, because I wonder how we will come out of the gate. After a similar win against SF, we were horrible in GB. We had a similar win against the Chargers, and didn't show up in the first quarter yesterday. We just didn't get buried quite as bad as Green Bay buried us.

Maybe.

I'd be more likely to agree with you if that stinging, heartbreaking loss torpedoed their season.

But at 4-3 they still have everything to play for, and they really need this game to keep pace in the wildcard race. It's unlikely they'll win their division.

I wish I was wrong, but I think they'll be flying around pretty good on Sunday. We'll see.

Caleb sucks but our D has a way of making QBs look elite, I think KM and the O need to put up 30+
With the state of both defenses...17-20 might be more to hope for...
Our offense is streaky and I kinda feel like a shootout favors da bears even though we have the better QB...
But I dunno.... 35-28 might be good too

I see it the opposite, I think the Bears will let that game consume them all week. I believe they will have a let down this week against a team they have probably pegged as a win and will continue to overlook the Cards this week.

The Cards need to treat this game as a huge opportunity to make a statement. I think Kyler will be up for the matchup against Caleb.

Cards fans, we need to go buy those tickets and keep those mangy Bears fans home!
Agree..especially if we punch them in the mouth early. Score on the opening drive then shut down their offense... should shatter their confidence.
Because you know they'll hear all week how we are a second half team that comes from behind.

That was what I loved on the last drive. Kyler took the 2 higher risk plays early, the shot to McBride and the shot to Marv. Yes both were open but there were open guys closer that were easier throws. But by taking those risks and converting he got us much closer to FG range early on which allowed us to just control the clock.

Did not realise Thomas was this fast

Yeah that was the one thing that got Thomas an NFL look IMO he had near sprinter speed.

Just googling it, when Thomas was in camp with the Lions, they GPS clocked him at 24MPH

I kinda agree here... especially after seeing clips of Caleb Williams on the sideline as the catch was made. You could see he totally blamed the defense. I get it, but as the leader of the team, he needs to keep things in check, as Murray has learned to do, or he could risk a fracture in the locker room.

Yeah I saw that and I thought that's the kind of play that leads to a teams season falling apart.

Maybe they shake it but would not surprise me at all if that has the impact on them and Caleb that the AJ Green not looking against Green Bay had to us and Kyler.

Russ, he ran a 4.3 and was a state champ in the 100 meters. How fast does he have to be to have "sprinter" speed? :p

I can’t remember a time where the Cards have been able to do something like that. Seems we always have to wait out a potential Hail Mary or something. Super impressed
Yesterday was the first time since Kyler’s 2nd or 3rd season that I actually felt optimistic… dare I say even confident… that we could drive it down for a walk off game winning FG.

It looks like Bears starting LT going to miss game. I think the backup is rookie from watching Commanders game and he didn't look good as expected.

Cardinals are well coached enough so that we can compete against anyone. We also lack enough talent in critical areas that we could lose to anyone. Any way you look at it, the Bears game could go either way. Cardinals are nowhere near being a finished product, and I expect them to continue to improve.

math fun!

Record of the team the Cards have lost to: 24-7, or 20-7 if you exclude the Cardinal results (.740 win %)

Record of the teams the Cards have beaten: 13-17, or 13-13 if you exclude the Cardinals results (.500 %)

Records as of today of the remaining schedule: 29-40 (.420%)

Two teams with winning records: Chi and Minn

Three games vs teams at .500: SEA x 2 and SF

Four games vs teams below .500: CAR, LAR, NEP and NYJ

The problem is that the Cards have a long history of losing to teams they should beat.

I waivered when Paris had that holding penalty and we were 2nd and 20.

I don't think Robinson will play this week, not at least in any meaningful way, but when he does they should use him more at Edge than inside given our situation.

We have absolutely nothing at Edge.

Wouldn't it be nice if Robinson can be our Ryan Dunn?

If the cardinals beat the Bears it will be the biggest win thus far this season.

Their defense is elite and the stadium will be 65/35 bears fans.

Cardinals need to control the TOP somehow and confuse the PAc Ten wonder boy and they may have a chance

Sorry I mean like pro sprinter or olympic sprinter. From google he ran a 10.5 something 100 meters and a 21 something 200 meters. Fast as hell, but not elite sprinter speed.

Get ready for every Chicago refugee to be out with their crap Bears jersey on this weekend.

Az is infested with people who left Chicago.

It is disgusting.

Signed, a former Bears fan from downstate Illinois that became a Cardinals fan when they moved here, since I am now an Arizonan!

Been saying this for weeks.

The schedule is ripe for us to go on a run.

This season the Cards have conquered the early game curse.
Not winning back to back games.
Being able to win a grinder game.
Winning a track meet with the Dolphins.

The team has been doing things they haven't done in a long time.

Lets Go!

The problem is that the Cards have a long history of losing to teams they should beat.
Unfortunately it's true

Time to change that
Based on the quoted message, they HAVE changed that so far this season - losing only to 6-win teams (.740 win rate) and beating teams that are a combined .500.
