So far my analysis of this team before the season is making me look like a genius.
kyler is 9/15 for 88 yards. james connor has 2.5 ypc. defense STINKS.
OOOF!
I thought they brought in Williams to fill that role who had a great year receiving from the backfield with the Chiefs last year. Didn't they? Also think with all the WR injuries not having Edmonds hurt us, I think Conner was the only RB who played so we didn't have that run or catch threat RB on 3rd down that Chase gave us. We were playing 3 or 4 WR's and that's why Kyler was getting so much pressure the only run threat was Kyler
I think it was actually a great play call and good execution, just really unlucky that Dortch lost his footing going through the traffic. Kyler was waiting for Dortch to regain his balance and looked back but the past rush came which left him with no time. One thing that could have saved the play was if Conner have kept running forward after seeing Kyler start to scramble. But it's season-opening so their mind is probably not there yet. Dortch had a similar play earlier that he did not extend the route to give the scrambled Kyler a throwing lane.
A FG would’ve taken it from a two possession game to a two possession game. We’re not playing the Jaguars. You’re right. But look what happens when you pass on the opportunity and your opposition doesn’t . . . 6 more points in the hole. Your “if’s” don’t count. The actual 3-6 point swing does.
He did stumble - they often stumble ! We ran on one drive and scored - we don’t often run - we often go 3 and out !Watch it again. That’s a TD all the way if he doesn’t stumble.
That means about 98% of posters here are geniuses thenSo far my analysis of this team before the season is making me look like a genius.
Nope. Off a turnover you want to keep momentum. We gave it right back to them.A FG would’ve taken it from a two possession game to a two possession game. We’re not playing the Jaguars.
Right play call, poor execution IMO.
Does the IF of a guaranteed FG apply here? You’re right. But look what happens when you pass on the opportunity and your opposition doesn’t . . . 6 more points in the hole. Your “if’s” don’t count. The actual 3-6 point swing does.
