Dallas Cowboys lead all-time series 56-34-1, BUT these are the last 7 games against them:

01/02/2022 Arizona Cardinals 25 @ Dallas Cowboys 22 W
10/19/2020 Arizona Cardinals 38 @ Dallas Cowboys 10 W
09/25/2017 Dallas Cowboys 28 @ Arizona Cardinals 17 L
11/02/2014 Arizona Cardinals 28 @ Dallas Cowboys 17 W
12/04/2011 Dallas Cowboys 13 @ Arizona Cardinals 19 W/OT
12/25/2010 Dallas Cowboys 26 @ Arizona Cardinals 27 W
10/12/2008 Dallas Cowboys 24 @ Arizona Cardinals 30 W/OT

Like most on here, I just hope we're competitive.
The most memorable game for me was the 2022 game. It kind of felt like the cowboys were exposed for being a good team at best after that game. I was at the 2008 game. That one was also memorable. You never know what will happen in the nfl. The cardinals can beat Dallas again.

So, I’m thinking that, trailing 20-0 and having been shut out 60-0 through their first six quarters of football, the Giants head coach angrily addressed his squad at halftime this past Sunday and he included something to the effect that “Some of you need to start playing better or you’ll be looking for work next week.” I believe this (or something similar) occurred because they sure looked like a different team in the 2nd half. Now I’m wondering what the harm could be with our coaches adopting a similar tone prior to Sunday’s Cowboys game. Why not? Our roster is so bereft of legitimate NFL talent that it really couldn’t hurt to state this and, more importantly, carry through on the threat. What does this organization have to worry about when the alternative is a hammering on national TV?

Cards fell asleep on the very first play of the second half and it led to a bomb and easy TD for the Giants…pretty predictable if you are the Cards but they fell asleep.

Stop that play, I firmly think the Giants don’t win or storm that comeback.

I’m so frustrated with this team. They could EASILY be 2-0 with hopes of K1 returning at some point to make this season worth fighting for. Instead, they are 0-2 and we all know the stats behind teams making the playoffs when starting 0-2.

If you look at the schedule, barring K1 coming back, they will absolutely be 0-8. I can potentially see a win in week 9 against Cleveland and week 11 against Houston.

This team sucks, and it sucks to have to support them this year. Now all that to say, I still have hope for this coaching staff and will extend them grace as they are quickly learning what it takes to win a game at this level and are trying to do that without K1 & Budda and no D Line.

At this point there really is no point to win any games. I want them to be competitive and for young players to develop, but how do you even keep the players engaged every week when they know it’s a lost cause?

I expect to see a steady dose of Deuce Vaughn in the 2nd half. I hope he doesn't make us look like a Benny Hill defense.

Well, I bought a new money clip and while transferring my 2 cards, My DL and an appointment card to my new money clip, I found a $100 bill that I hid in there years ago. So what do you do with "found" money? You save it, of course. So I bet it on the Cards to win. You only live once. o_O

I haven't seen it mentioned but Marco Wilson was really bad vs the Giants.

I defended him a little in the game thread because he was being beat up for a couple of chunk plays, lots of good CB's give up chunk plays occasionally.

But having watched some of the tape back he was bad in general coverage.

Last year he allowed 57% completion rate, 77.1 passer rating and 6.3 yards per target. Solid numbers.

So far this year he's allowed 77% completion rate, 118 passer rating and 13.8 yards per target. Most of this vs the Giants.

He's already given up 180 yards, which is a 3rd of his 2022 total already. 140+ of that came vs the Giants.

His numbers were fine after the Washington game which shows just how bad he was vs the Giants to get to these numbers.

Kei'trel Clark in comparison has given up a 55.% completion rate, 76 passer rating and 6.8 yards per target.

I want to know what adjustments they did at half time that shut our offense down and literally opened our defense like a can of tuna.

What adjustments can our coach make as a counter? My guess, the margin of loss will grow larger.

I think before the season started had we been told we would outperform 10 teams through 2 games with a backup QB with 4 career stats (or even McCoy), and this roster we would all be pleasantly surprised.

Cowboys though

But is it a good reason? Hayes has looked better in games.
If Hayes, or really anybody on the practice squad, we're truly qualified to start, they would not be on the practice squad. Another team would snatch them up. There aren't 31 other teams with interior offensive lineman better than what the Cardinals have.

I dont see the point giving most of the snaps to ertz instead of McBride
I think it's just reliability. Yeah he isn't going to make big plays, but he isn't likely to screw up 5 yard routes. But yeah I would agree for the longer routes, McBride should be the guy.

You say that as if practice squad players never go to another team and become solid starters.

Some times coaching staffs just get it wrong on certain players.

My hunch is the coaches know Hayes is the better player but there is something they don't like about his work ethic or leadership.

From the little that I've seen of Hayes, consistency seems to be his problem. He's powerful, but on one play he dominates and on the next play he gets a penalty or let's someone blow by him for a sack. I think his size and power is tantalizing, but he can be a drive killer with his mistakes.

Good interior offensive linemen don't just grow on trees. If any of the 32 NFL teams thought Hayes was better than who they already have on their 53, they would pick him up. It's not like stashing DBs, WRs, and LBs....bottom of the rung guys in those positions are plentiful.

I guess it's possible the Cards see a work ethic issue, but typically another team will give the talent a chance with a change of scenery.

I think if he could beat out Wilkinson, then he'd be on the 53....and it sucks that he can't, because LG is the obvious weakest link and it's hurting the entire left side and interior.

Kind of. I guess one or two mistakes per game can be tough but isn't that part of the learning curve for some linemen? I guess I land on a preference of a few better plays and one or two mistakes with Hayes than watching Wilkerson getting beat physically on most plays.

Ertz May be more reliable but this franchise isnt fighting for a playoff spot, there Is a long term plan, succesful or not its early now, trying to fix the cap issues and developing young players
