Yah that interview was strange, and highly annoying. I also thought it was funny when he was saying that he is really, really close to going down as the best middle linebacker of all time, and that he's almost there already. The guy had an incredible year here, but he's out of his mind.

I have no problem with him following the money and going to Cleveland, especially considering how much better their offer was.

Really looking forward to learning what we have in Minter.

This is all de ja vu.. He did the same thing proclaiming himself best LB when he went to Miami..

He also said a similar thing when he resigned with us.. Saying his goal was to get up in Cards Ring of Honor.. Now he wants a statue in Cleveland..

Whatever.. Strange

Who cares what he says in an interview? There's no question he was the teams best defensive player last year and won't be easy to replace.

I wouldn't have been in favor of paying him what Cleveland did but to shrug off his loss is under-estimating how good he was.

While in Arizona, he did a vg job for the Cards. But his first allegiance is to his family. FB players, of all the major sports are the lowest paid, so I can understand why they follow the money. Wish he stayed but think that Minter can do the job. My only concern is D Wash being suspended.

To me Dansby was a one year rental, no more, no less. It worked out well in 2013. Time to move on. Dansby got what he wanted out of it and the Cardinals got what they wanted out of it. Dansby got a big contract and the Cardinals got more established as a team players in the NFL are looking at as a place to play. Both sides won. The Cardinals are now seen as a good organization by NFL players where as a couple years ago not so much. Dansby will get replaced and the defense will not miss a beat. Bowles will reconfigure the defense to whomever steps into Dansby's place and keep humming along.

Hate to see him go. Very good player. But he is who we knew he was. I have no problem with him chasing the money.

He did a good job here. It's time to move on and we'll be fine, his team and FO are in shambles right now. Maybe they turn a corner but we'll be in the playoff hunt and he'll be out of it by November. Good new contract though for a 33 yr. old.

Finito, you are banned for a week for cursing in a thread title and doing so in a way to by pass the language filter. In the future I suggest you display better judgement.

Great player but like dating the smoking hot girl in high school who turns out to be a ho. Makes it much easier when she moves on to the next chump because you don't look back so fondly. Full of himself and not very ingratiating when it comes to his teammates contributions. Hey Los the D was damn good before you got here.

I don't fault him for leaving I never thought he was staying, just found him full of himself. A statue? Really?

This Cleveland is more likely to get a statue.

And I think his show was canceled.

The board rules are crystal clear here.

I'm not crapping on your judgment as it states what words are profanity is up to the mod just stinks at this busy time to get banned. I think he would have said holy shnikes if he knew that would be the result.

I think he played his ass off and every major part of the team consistently lauded him and called him one of their leaders. His job wasn't to take anyone under his wing. His job was to lead the D, which he did by all accounts to its best unit by far that any Cardinals fan has seen in eons.

Bash the guy all you want but his play on the field and love he repeatedly got from guys like Fitz, Dockett and BASK pretty much flies in the face of everything you're saying as far as his worth on the field.

Seemed like he took Washington and Matthieu and Peterson under his wing and helped teach them how to play and what it means to be a professional. Darren Urban in particular mentioned that having Dansby around was good for Daryl Washington.

I really have no problem with Dansby not being a personal mentor to the teams 3rd string ILB who wasn't good enough to keep the team from signing him.

As for Dansby's leadership in Miami, I believe that he was a team captain and part of the "leadership group" with Jake Long and Reggie Bush who talked to the coaching staff in the wake of Chad Johnson's release a coup years ago. In 2011, Dansby was the Dolphins best player overall based on Pro Football Reference's "Average Value" metric. Finally, the Dolphins Defense was 12th in scoring in 2010 when he arrived, and a top 10 scoring defense in 2011 and 2012.

Miami's D wasn't the reason they were an average team during Los's tenure there.

We definitely knew when we brought him back the second time, KD is going to look out for number one. All the time, every time. I don't have a problem with that. At worst he isn't savy enough to show a little humility so as not to sound like a self obsessed jack ass, but as for grabbing as much cash as possible by forcing a desperate team to overpay, good for him.

I just couldn't be disagreeing with your takes more. wTF?

I said this when he left the first time. Me first guy all day every day. He's an good player nothing more nothing less. Unlike the rest of his entourage I actually watched him play every Sunday in Miami and he was Paris Lenon.

So really the Cardinals MADE him. Dude should build a Mike Bidwill statue in front of his McMansion. So glad we got him on cheap for one year, used him up, and let the next crap team with no plan over pay him. It's not a coincidence the Browns and Dolphins as two of the 3 worst run teams last 5 years.

See ya bud. Never to be heard from again.

It's beyond me how anyone here can even muster up a defense for this clown at this point. There's a difference between being pragmatic and holding onto your long held beliefs in the face of reality.

I'll take the pot smoking (alleged) aggravated assault Daryl Washington who outside of that has been pristine over this narcissistic joke.

the face of reality is the guy consistently made HUGE plays in the biggest games and was consistently named a captain of the team and lauded by our biggest leaders on the team. and even if he does chase the money, he always gave everything he had to this team while he was playing for it. Not sure how that reality can be argued.

He played at a pro-bowl level last year. The problem is he's got a hall of fame ego. The disconnect between the two makes him sound like an idiot.

Its difficult when we start getting into who's selfish and who's not, for me anyway. Who's more selfish than the owners? Why's it okay for them but not the players, why the double standard? I woulda taken the money. I'd hoped he wouldn't however, makes no sense. And the argument that he has enough doesn't hold up. There's never enough women or money.

P2 and Dansby was our best 2 defensive players last year, that's all there is to it. Now we get to find out how much Karlos benefited from our system and how easy/hard it will be for the next cat up. Cleveland is nuts for offering that kind of scrilla, I could understand it more if Horton was there. He talks like a doofas off the field but plays pretty well on it. Aint worth that money though.

Around here, the Dansby signing has been met with little fanfare. There was basically a standard one paragraph statement in the paper that he signed and what the terms were.
