Cuban acknowledged it. Teams were trying to win for the most part before the all-star break. But after the break, it is full tank mode.

That's why it gets tiresome reading on here that some think our tank is good enough. The competition is nipping at our heals!

You can't do any better than losing every game! Good grief! I saw you were griping about being too close in some games. Cripes! You don't get extra tank points for bigger losses. If they did do that, we would be ahead in that too!

Haha... on that last line.

Our remaining schedule rates as one of the toughest in the league... looking at it I suspect we MIGHT win 2 more games, so... god forbid, we actually beat Memphis (and I cannot imagine the shitstorm in here that will follow that outcome), it is difficult to fathom us not finishing the year with the worst record in the NBA.

Seriously, look at what we've got left... the only game that I'd say we have a better than 50% chance of winning is Sacramento at home.

Also, should any draft odds be on the line, the season finale in Dallas might be one of the most embarrassing games in NBA history.

The Phoenix Suns have had two top-three picks in our 50-year history (Neal Walk, #2, 1969 and Armon Gilliam, #2, 1987). The Cleveland Cavaliers have had six #1 picks, including four in the last fifteen years.

How do you like them apples?

I count six games that are very winnable. In no particular order they are against Grizz, Hawks, Kings, Clips, Magic, and Mavs. Our last couple games were close and they were against good teams... because Booker is playing 40mpg now! You're dreaming if you think we are only going to win two more games or so. If we win half the games against the crappy teams that's three right there. Plus we beat the Thunder once this season and we play them twice more.

I wish I had your optimism but if Booker is playing his guts out I see us winning five more minimum.

I don’t - not suggesting anything but the least they could do is do the lottery live, boring as it is or otherwise .... it’s really not asking too much.

I never understood them doing that behind closed doors.

The Suns have lost 10 games in a row and are on their way to their first winless month in 50 years.

I am obviously all aboard the tank train since this is a lost season. But these types of posts are why I rarely participate here anymore. It's the same 3-4 people bitching that the Suns aren't tanking enough. (How is that even possible at this point?)

Hell, I didn't even bother to post here after Booker's 40 points because nobody is allowed to be impressed by a great game. Every conversation just morphs into how the Suns are "ruining their tank."

It's insufferable.

Booker has big games so quietly these days it almost gets lost in the shuffle.

Certainly something to cheer about!

The tweet was before the Pelicans game where he scored 40 points.

Here are some excerpts from a February 21st memo sent by Adam Silver to all 30 NBA teams regarding the Mark Cuban fine.

... If we ever received evidence that players or coaches were attempting to lose or otherwise taking steps to cause any game to result otherwise than on its competitive merits, that conduct would be met with the swiftest and harshest response possible from the league office.”

“The integrity of the competition on the playing court is the cornerstone of our league,” he wrote. “It is our pact with the fans and with each other, the fundamental reason we exist as a preeminent sporting organization, the very product that we sell. With everything else changing around us, it is the one thing in our league that can never change. We must do everything in our power to protect the actual and perceived integrity of the game.”

The Suns have the 4th best winning percentage in NBA history (Cavs 21st). I think it is fair to say that has a lot to do with how many times each team has has a #1 pick.

So skip those posts. You know this thread is SPECIFICALLY ABOUT TANKING, right? Avoid it.
