Doug & Wolf hypothesized this morning that the 30 min meeting might have (at least partly) been the Cards laying out the process in detail that he needs to follow, and then putting it on him/his agent on if they were even willing to follow that process.
Definitely not out of the question that DWash and his agent, after seeing the Cards requirements for taking him back, decided a fresh start somewhere else would be the better route.
