lmao. Well it was up at hippy ass NAU. There really were people smoking pot in the trees when I was there. Some dude ended up wandering around to the other side of the camp and then tried cutting through the field to get back

Yeah, he should have taken measures to ensure he didn't fail though some programs consider a dilute sample a positive. That being said, there are still alternatives out there that can flush your system without popping a dilute.
Long story short, he needs to be more responsible.

I'm pissed that we're losing him for four games, and I'll hold back judgement on how much to demonize him until or if we find out what substance he's doing.
If it's weed, I don't really care. It's stupid to do when it can risk your career, and probably makes it easier to breathe if you don't smoke it, but otherwise it's something that doesn't affect a person too much.
I know a lot of NFL players that smoke weed all the time. It's amazing they don't get caught.

All this talk about beating a drug test is ridiculous. He CHOSE his career and knew there are rules to follow. I don't have a single bit of sympathy for him, he needs to grow the f up and decide which is more important his career or whatever substance he decided to put in his body.
I agree with most of that. The thing is, many potheads don't "smoke" anymore. My buddy runs a dispensary in CA, the treats (cookies, brownies, etc.) are crazy popular. And a lot of people are switching to vaporizers and oil from pipes and joints. After he broke it all down for me it made great sense. Not as harmful to your body (the way he explained it, it sounded like it's not harmful at all, but I'm sure there's something), doesn't smell, lasts longer, and is cheaper. 2 of the most dominant olympians (Shaun White and Michael Phelps) have been popped for pot. They should just leave it alone. Whether these guys just smoke it for fun, or use it to help sleep, for anxiety, whatever. I don't see it as being any worse than stuff they could get legally (whether its drinking to unwind, or xanax for anxiety, etc.)

agreed. It only ever made me paranoid, lazy and antisocial lol. Not effects I particularly found desirable. But to each his own. I don't see it as being any more harmful on an individual or society than alcohol

Really? As said above, this isn't the first time he's popped hot and per the league rules it's at least the 3rd time. At what point does the player grow up or the team order him to seek counseling for his problem? Oh, let's wait until he's suspended for the first quarter of the season before something is done. No, he's shown that his interests come before the team and rare is it a player who pops for drugs who doesn't pop again. Maybe we can get a player here who can act like a grown up.

According to something I was reading, Alcohol and over the counter drugs can be figured into this if they are at levels that can be considered abusive.
So the question is who replaces DWash at WILB? Do they pick up a guy for 4 games or would Walker or Brinkley or maybe even Alexander move over to that spot.
If they go with a guy for 4 games wouldn't it be hard to get anyone with any skills to sign knowing it was a short term deal. I'd guess not. Being on an NFL roster is a huge carrot.
If he can't catch on somewhere else maybe Paris Lenon would stick around to help. Isn't there some sort of special veteran salary deal in respect to the cap that would help in that situation?

I dont care WHAT it is! I dont care if people think something should be legel. He F'd up at least three times and now he is screwing the fans and the team. It just goes to show what is important to him. I was gonna buy his jersey, he used to be my favorite current player. What a poor excuse of a person.

They play different positions--that'd be the biggest problem. IMO the reason we played that super-dumb 2-4-5 in run/pass situations was because we had to have Paris on the field to make the playcall and adjustements pre-snap.
I'd love to bring Los back because I'm a big Los fan. FO has nice words to say about him in their "State of the Team" on the Dolphins. If Los can get $1M guaranteed, I wonder if he'd bite on it.
