People who are high and drive are typically the best drivers on the road because they dont want to be pulled over (thats the other thing. People who are high know they are high. They dont lose control of themselves and "black out". They are 100% fully functioning. They just got the munchies). Secondly, theres not many people who do smoke and drive because they dont even want to risk getting pulled over. Again, people who smoke know they are high and are 100% in control of their mind and body.

uh... no kidding. That was the entire point of my response, it was even quoted in my post "I don't see why it's not legal". Besides, it IS legal right here in AZ with a card. You think they'd rescind his suspension if he got a card? What if he had proof that he smoked it while in CO?

The same reason why if I went to Denver and blazed up then got piss tested at work. I'd be fired because it's against company policy to smoke weed. If D-Wash doesn't like the rules he can get a job elsewhere.

Being illegal I mean. How many people have ever OD'd on weed? none. How many have ever smoked for 3 hours straight, and went home and beat their wife or kids? None. Caused a car accident? Besides maybe a fender bender - not many.

Moral of the story, weed is probably the least harmless of any substance on earth. Cigarettes, Coffee, Booze and sugar will forever destroy society before weed does.

ANTON — A maintenance man quietly detailed in court how he lured a 7-year-old girl into a vacant apartment, molested her, beat and stabbed her to death and stuffed her body into a trash bin.

The admission Tuesday as the girl's family sobbed in the front row brought an unusually rapid conclusion to a murder case that frightened a North Georgia community just over a month ago.

Jorelys Rivera disappeared when she left the complex's playground to head to her apartment to get sodas for her friends. Speaking softly and with little emotion, 20-year-old Ryan Brunn, a former Dahlonega resident, told a judge he used her lost roller skate to coax her into the unit in the complex where he had worked for about a month and forced her to undress in a bathtub.

"I didn't want her to go home and tell her mom or dad on me," Brunn said. "So I cut her." Brunn had moved to Canton from Dahlonega just a month before Rivera's death.

Former neighbors had described Brunn as having a troubling past in which police were called to the family's home on several occasions. They also said they had notified police of incidents involving including marijuana use and domestic violence.

Stout, I respect your opinion and rarely disagree with what you have to say. No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. You nor I will ever understand the choices a man like Washington have to make. I try not to pass judgement, but find it almost impossible in today's day and age where the agent owns the player.

I will say this, I respect the man so much more for admitting his mistake and moving on as opposed to hiding behind his agent, player's union, and the courts to save face. He did something wrong and is owning it.

He's only owning it because he got suspended. But from what I'm reading, getting suspended means that this is his third offense. The first time is a mistake. The 2nd and 3rd is a choice. This is a harsh reality scant few like to admit these days. Every time someone messes up, all I hear is "they made a mistake". Losing my car keys is a mistake. Missing the toilet when taking a leak is a mistake. Smoking or taking something that is not only illegal in most states but is certainly illegal per league policy is not a mistake, it's a poor choice and don't say everybody does it. I'm not going to say that I'm a complete angel but I do not do things that could cost me my job. I went to a concert last year and some idiots near me were smoking weed prompting me to walk away. Moral is, don't put yourself in the position to do something stupid. DWash is a grown man who should know better.

Except he made at least three mistakes, and he certainly didn't admit to the first two or learn from them either. He did something wrong three times, and is owning it once, only because he was suspended and the general public now knows about it. He gets ZERO credit from me for saying what he had no choice but to say.

He smoked pot, got caught, and now is punished.

There is no justification for his judgement and actions. I can care less he smokes pot, I do care that he cannot put is aside for 10 years while he earns millions of dollars.

As for smoking pot ? When he retires he can smoke all the pot he wants without repercussion.

Thus the dumb decision is to do so when, and at a time it will effect this job, his teammates, and his earning potential.

They should write something into their contracts that they need to be involved in community service for so many hours a year especially during the off season so they don't have so much idle time on their hands. as far as twice as likely, I say bull. Teenagers are more dangerous than stoners. People are poopy drivers and if you get a poopy driver high they will drive worse. Again, there are degrees of high just like degrees of drinking. Noone should be driving after an entire joint.

That's the big one for me as well. I don't care what he does off the football field, but when those actions start messing up what we can do as a team ON the field, that's where I have my issue.
