I dont care WHAT it is! I dont care if people think something should be legel. He F'd up at least three times and now he is screwing the fans and the team. It just goes to show what is important to him. I was gonna buy his jersey, he used to be my favorite current player. What a poor excuse of a person.

If my boss told me I couldnt smoke cigars, I would stop. It pays my bills, this is my profession.

bingo. he hurt the team. that sucks out loud.

Precisely. Let's not be judge and jury and make sweeping assumptions of the man.

He does, however, need to get his **** together. Too good of a talent to go to waste a la Ricky Williams

Yeah, no, I disagree. It's exactly time to make sweeping assumptions. I can, for instance, assume he's an immature athlete that's unwilling to quit illegal behavior and has subsequently crushed his team. I give a good freakin' damn about his feelings or his situation. He's a multi-millionaire with an incredible support system built in for him. No excuses. He screwed the pooch, and he absolutely deserves every damn bit of criticism that he's getting. EFF HIM!

man, I'm so dissapointed hearing this news. I love what that kid brings to the field and already taking one of our biggest playmakers off the team with Rhodes, losing Washington too for the first four games is gonna put this D in a really tough spot out of the gate next year.

Should Seattle and Denver players be exempt from marijuana testing then?

Its not just about whether its legal or not. Its against league rules and thats all that matters here.

Finally a thread/topic where desert dawg has some expertise and insight.. Haha

This is the only lol in this thread. :D

That being said I agree with Duckjake man, we can't even go a full damn day with good news before this team stubs its toe. Ridiculous. And just plain selfish. He put himself before the team at least 2 or 3 times before this suspension. There's no excuse. I love Dwash but there really is no excuse.

Except that alcohol is legal and weed is not. Like it or not, the law is the law. Want to smoke weed, move to Colorado and Washington.

uh... no kidding. That was the entire point of my response, it was even quoted in my post "I don't see why it's not legal". Besides, it IS legal right here in AZ with a card. You think they'd rescind his suspension if he got a card? What if he had proof that he smoked it while in CO?

No they would not. It has nothing to do with being against the law, it is against League Policy. If he needed it for medical reasons, he would have to petition the League BEFORE he used it not after the fact. It doesnt matter if its legal in CO and WA, its STILL illegal according to the league. If you wanna smoke weed, get another job.

Boldin pissed me off yesterday with his interview on ESPN when he said he's accomplished everything he set out for: rebuilding the franchise in AZ, helping Baltimore win a championship and now with the 9erz to help win another one. I've always loved Q but he's so obviously about himself. And he didnt rebuild our franchise, someone should give him the breaking news.

I'm aware. It was sarcasm

He jumped in a side-conversation about it being pointless for it to be illegal talking about "it's illegal, if you wanna smoke then go to WA or CO". When it's irrelevant

Didnt see this coming. DWash is literally the last guy on this team id expect to get into trouble.

Id see Feely slinging rocks on van buren before I ever thought DWash would get busted for anything ever.

(Might as well acknowledge all the old people on this forum will think im a pot head for saying this) I dont smoke, but Ridiculous doesnt begin to describe how weed is still a drug in this day and age. Being illegal I mean. How many people have ever OD'd on weed? none. How many have ever smoked for 3 hours straight, and went home and beat their wife or kids? None. Caused a car accident? Besides maybe a fender bender - not many.

Moral of the story, weed is probably the least harmless of any substance on earth. Cigarettes, Coffee, Booze and sugar will forever destroy society before weed does.

I'm with you every point except the driving part. Pot would impair me to the point I couldn't drive. But I see no issue with somebody smoking a joint responsibly in the privacy of their own home

back on the topic of Washington. I really like how he handled it at least:
"I was always taught that when you make a mistake, you admit it, learn from it and face whatever consequences there are," Washington said in a statement released by the Cardinals. "I take full responsibility and I understand that I let down my teammates, the organization and fans. I apologize for that and promise that no one will work harder to make up for it."
While it hardly makes up for what he did, I appreciate the fact that he took full responsibility and I believe that he will bust his ass to make up for it

That stupid mfsdsfdfsdfsfdf--er! He can forget about me buying his jersey now. What a stupid, arrogant, childish idiot!

Stout, I respect your opinion and rarely disagree with what you have to say. No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. You nor I will ever understand the choices a man like Washington have to make. I try not to pass judgement, but find it almost impossible in today's day and age where the agent owns the player.

I will say this, I respect the man so much more for admitting his mistake and moving on as opposed to hiding behind his agent, player's union, and the courts to save face. He did something wrong and is owning it.

He did, he did indeed. Don't make me pull out the Jeff Blake or Emmit Smith jersey out of your closet.

The problem is, ignorant people who dont know anbything about weed except for the PBS commercials they saw in 1984 telling them weed causes you to have psychosis, believe that weed has the same effect as booze.

People who are high and drive are typically the best drivers on the road because they dont want to be pulled over (thats the other thing. People who are high know they are high. They dont lose control of themselves and "black out". They are 100% fully functioning. They just got the munchies). Secondly, theres not many people who do smoke and drive because they dont even want to risk getting pulled over. Again, people who smoke know they are high and are 100% in control of their mind and body.

Best drivers? 100% fully functioning?

I say bull. It is still impaired driving.

Hey, don't argue with Mr. Know It All. He did forget to mention that pot reduces your response time. So if you need to hit the brakes pretty quick to avoid that kid that just ran in the street.

Wow that is the biggest line of BS I have ever heard. Are you high right now?

except for the fact this will be the 3rd time, he didnt learn anything or take responsibility the first two times??? Sounds like image control to me.

lol, I hope you're not referring to me. I'm hardly ignorant to the effects pot has on me. I also know that it effects different people differently. I have a friend that works 12 hours a day 6 days a week in construction and smokes a blunt first thing in the am, and all throughout the day and he works his ass off and does amazing work. Then I know another guy that is unemployed and living on a friend's couch sitting around smoking pot all day and not going out and looking for a job. And your last sentence is just wrong, to put it simply
